Vegan is the new Viagra

It really is beating a dead horse. There are no new members and all of the current members have heard this all before. Ruk tried to go veg and ultimately decided it wasn't for him or it doesn't suit his lifestyle at this point. That should be the end of the discussion.

For the record I love (some) vegan food. I even hassled my local grocery store to get a bigger selection. I finally found nutritional yeast not that long ago. I also still eat chicken and an infinite amount of seafood on a regular. I'm not pro meat eaters. I'm pro were all adults let's make our own decisions on wtf we eat.

I think the only reason "she" hasn't found a man is because "she" is a man "himself." "Herself." I dunno.

Either that or she really believes in that quote she had in her sig about being a free-running horse or something.

I would totally Oslo a Daiya cheese factory. I can't get enough of it, but it's $4.50 a packet and I need to feed my new addiction.

Nope.

Soy contains isoflavones (a phytoestrogen). You say the anti soy debate is funded by diary farmers, I say the pro soy debate is funded by soy manufacturers and vegans. Still, soy contains isoflavones and it MIGHT cause problems, as you said. Might doesnt mean wont. It's better to be cautious no?
Who has more money/influence/power? The dairy farmers or the soy industry/vegans?

You're right. Might doesn't mean won't. But meat and dairy DEFINITIVELY contribute to heart disease, cancer and diabetes. Proven.

Different genetics. Adaptation. Other differences in diet. Difference in lifestyle. Difference in environment. All those also factor into the fact that physically they are smaller people. So can I say that soy eating means people will be smaller?

What about India? One of the highest cancer rates in all of the world, if not the highest right now.
Extremely high consumption of dairy in India, led by the Hindu perception of cows as being "holy". Direct correlation. Many Indians are becoming lactose intolerant in older years due to high consumption of dairy since childhood too. Lots of that, and cancer in my own family, dairy consumption one of the most likely factors.

Arnold could have become a vegan in his prime, and you'd call him a "vegan Bodybuilder," even though to get to that point he ate a lot of meat and meat based supplements. Not to mention, dat der cell tech.
Are you suggesting that all the vegan bodybuilders in the world used to eat meat? Seems like a stretch.

Not to get personal but judging from your fat chin and poor posture I doubt that you're "toned as fuck."
Not to get personal, but you did. It's OK, people generally only do that knowing their argument is weak. "Fat chin", ha. Yeah, because people that weigh less than 11 stone have fat chins. I have a wide jaw, it's simply my bone structure. Not an ounce of fat anywhere on my body. and also, LMAO at poor posture.... like you've actually met me or have any basis for that. There's about as much basis for that as for me saying you clearly have herpes.

Dont you think that source might be a bit biased? It's like a Christian pointing to the vatican website to prove his point.
Hardly the same thing. You repeatedly make insinuate, and sometimes even state that it is "impossible" to "pack muscle" on a vegan diet. I point to an entire community of vegan bodybuilders. All the issues you have, they can educate you on. That's all.

Actually, and now you're just starting to piss me off with your one sided trolling bullshit, you're the one BLATHERING on about soy. I mentioned it in passing along with beans and lentils. You chose to write a whole fucking essay about it. I also actually said that I love tofu and bean curd and only drink soy milk.
No, you mentioned at least twice about the disproven estrogen thing, so I pointed out that soy is not a requirement for a vegan diet, even for a vegan bodybuilder. Comeback? wait, there isn't one. Pwned.

So you're saying a bean or a lentil has the complete amino acid profile of meat? If that were true, it would be meat. It is not true. Fuck stop being an idiot.

You're right. Might doesn't mean won't. But meat and dairy DEFINITIVELY contribute to heart disease, cancer and diabetes. Proven.

Seems like a stretch to me to assume that people were born vegans.

A wide jaw results in a wide jaw, not fat under the face. Im not saying you're fat, so I dont care how much you weigh, Im just refuting the fact that you're "toned as fuck" as you said. You're not lean, at all.

Hardly the same thing. You repeatedly make insinuate, and sometimes even state that it is "impossible" to "pack muscle" on a vegan diet. I point to an entire community of vegan bodybuilders. All the issues you have, they can educate you on. That's all.
Hmmm.... Seems like I have never used the word "impossible."

Once again in comes the Religious fanatic twisting peoples words.

Considering the fact that soy is the closest thing to a complete protein vegans have and vegan based protein powder comes from soy. And considering the fact ALL bodybuilders consume protein powder, than yes, it is a pretty big requirement for a vegan bodybuilder.

I'll do research about the estrogen thing when I get home, I might be wrong or studies I read might be wrong rather.

Pwned? Seems like other than the possible "estrogen" thing that is the only thing you're right about. And I am pwned? Fanatic.

No I meant well done for actually doing the research yourself rather than listening to other people/
Oh. Gotcha.

I did my fair share of reading for school and that's what really got me conscious (somewhat) about what I was putting in my body. Funny how it was that and not my parents, among other people, telling me the same thing. Wake up call in a different language, I guess.

Plus, I head to Ohio to work in a hospital in a few months as a partnership with my school. The irony of my pudgy-ass talking to people about their health was too funny and....ironic.... So I changed.

Now we're just nitpicking. Soy isn't a requirement for a vegan bodybuilder because many of them don't use it. I never said any bean had the same amino properties of meat.... yet i'm the one twisting words, OK then.

.......fuck it

Soy is the closest thing to a complete protein vegans have so without it that would mean even less essential amino acids.

I never said any bean had the same amino properties of meat....
Actually you did. I said beans dont have the same amino profile as meat and lacked certain amino acids, you then said that that was a lie or was wrong and thus in the process implied that they did.

There are to essential amino acids you cannot get unless you eat meat. I forget the names, but....

Basically, I feel what I said earlier is the best advice and that's a healthy mix of both is best. Obviously the less meat you need for those aminos is better.

Also, eating different kinds of beans is essential as one or three do not have all of them. It really needs to be diversified.

If anyone knows Indian dishes, sambar dhal is the least healthiest one in that the beans used are not so nutritious.
