I caught up with Ruk tonight, he's been out of town so I havent seen him in like a week and I think he's out again in a couple days. Anyway, I told him he needs to buy me dinner as a thank you for what Ive been doing, he has money, Im broke, you do the math.

So I said, "Ruk, let's go get some steaks," which we used to do a lot and even had our favorite spot but tonight he replied "You can have a steak, but I dont eat meat anymore..."

There you have it, Rukas is a vegetarian now!

A person who doesn't eat meat is breaking the circle of life, preventing the world from working the way it is supposed to. That makes them an ignoramus.

Circle of life my ass.

How is killing another life for one's own selfish unnecessary reasons contributing to the 'circle of life'?

You realize that if the land in the world that is used to raise animals for the sole purpose of killing them for consumption was instead used to grow vegetables, grains, etc.....there would be no hunger anywhere in the world.

Feel free to eat meat if you don't mind contributing to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people every year, including women and children.

Unfortunately you are under the illusion that humans are the top of the food chain, we are not. We are just smart enough not to get eaten. Do you really think a lion, tiger shark or whatever really gives a shit about your life when they have a chance to eat you? No.

You can eat whatever you like as long as you are aware of the repercussions of your actions. Do you choose to live life making choices that lead to negativity and suffering for others? Or do you choose to make a positive difference?

I am not under that illusion at all.

The difference is that animals do not have the intelligence to make the compassionate choice. Humans do.

Either utilize the intelligence that you are blessed to have, or don't....in the latter scenario you may as well be an animal yourself.

We are animals.

What you are saying here is that you are denying the theory of evolution?

If not then you and believe we were once possibly an ape, if not at least Neanderthal man, at which time our intelligence level was no more than most other animals, and relied on our instinct to eat meat and vegetation to survive, and instinct is what makes us Human.

So in this case you are saying we should deny our instinct as a Human because we have become smart enough to drive cars and make computers?

Intelligence has nothing to do with compassionate choice, compassion is an emotion, not an intellect, and emotion does not make a decision a right choice. For example, hate is an emotion, so if I hate someone enough to kill them, that makes that the right choice? No.

I can understand people becoming upset because of the way animals are treated. Even I agree, but that isn't a good enough reason why I should deny being Human.

Food is food, vegetable, fruit, diary and meat. And it is there for ALL living creatures to survive on. As I said, its the circle of life.

You're sounding real ignorant about the ways of the world right now bro. World hunger doesn't exist because of a lack of food. Take an economics class or two and learn a little something.
