C. Delores Tucker Dead

RIP She brought her own agenda, playing politics on her own people for personal gain and publicity while coming off as a house nigga .. sure she had a influence in her early years and as much as I like to say she was just a person of her time and era, I think she knew what she was doing and was trying to get as much out of it as she could, while she could. Anyways RIP for all the good she did or tried to bring to her people that was sincere.

RIP, this woman was not bad so nobody should say anything negative about her. 99% of us dont know much else besides "she hated rap/pac"

you are only giving evidence of your ignorance by saying something such as "rest in piss" or whatever was said...

yea the rest in piss comment was out of line....gotta agree with Dante there.

I definatly thought she was a pyscho though, to label all hip hop as "pornographic filth" is just a blind and ignorant generalization. Plus, the fact she tried to sue Pac's estate after his death was very much in bad taste and probably not in her best interest, as she later found out when the judge basically laughed her case out of court.

Again, it would be interesting to see what she'd have to say about Bill Bennet now after he made his recent comments. Would she have brushed them off and defended them, or would she go against him?

I always thought it was funny she hated Pac's music so much, yet it was ironic that through his music that was wanting to accomplish the same things for the black community that she was....ignorant she was.

She might have been part of the problem, but there's a lot of other things holding the west back besides her.

because spice-1 said it then it's true? you misinterpreted it anyway. spice-1 was saying that she had created a climate of opposition, not necessairly oppression.

the simple fact is that tucker and other activists reach people who already hold animosity toward hip hop. i'd be completely surprised if she converted one single hip hop fan. likewise, tucker was never responsible for spearheading legislation or policy - she was small time in that regard with her cd crusing parties. tucker "held back" the west coast about as much as john kerry held back the war in iraq. both commented and raised awareness on the situations, but in the end they are not directly linked to any change in law or policy.

who held the west down? after death row became the west coast powerhouse, shadowing other west families such as heiro, click, etc, all eyes were on suge. when dr fell apart, that left a major gap in the market that the same artists as solo artists could not fill. likewise, everyone wants to own a label now, so artists make one album, then make their own label. the sense of family that had created the west is now dead, and THAT is the major opposition, especially when paired with the fact that most new west coast artists are cookie cutter images of the stereotypical banging ass, low-conscious gangsta rapper that is now passe in hip hop culture.

i hope i put you back on the same page as everyone else.

You make a lot of good points there Dante. Not to get off topic but can you really blame all the artists for wanting to start their own labels? It's because of Suge Knight and plenty of white record label owners before him that this environment exists, no one wants to get ripped off by their label so they figure if they are in charge, who's gonna rip them off? That, and the fact that you make a lot more profit from record sales if you own the label. Anyway, back to the topic. C. Delores Tucker was a great woman who got misguided later on in life. I do think that, while she did believe rap music was offensive and all that, she really only wanted a piece of the pie, which is why she tried to get control of Death Row, rather than shut them down. RIP to a great civil rights leader who lost her way.

Wonder Why They Call U

After that was done her life couldnt get any worse. Pac must have said that out of anger. And then came the onslaught of rappers following.

If someone like Pac dissed you this can do a lot of damage to you on a worldwide scale. (Example the ignorance in some of the posts on this thread.)

I hope she is in heaven because i think she was tormented far enough.

In my religon we believe in the holy month of ramadan everyone who is dead isn't suffering a dark grave punnishment, when the month is over if anyone dies in this month they will reach their destiny when the month stops. Your grave will be either your own hell or your own heaven depending on your past actions in your mortal life prior to visiting your unseen life. Everyone in their grave in this month who are suffering pray every year for this month, for this relief.

Im going to shuttup now.
sorry i know that isn't related to anything,

Rest in peace and may god forgive her sins.
