I thought it was essential to be greedy and arrogant to be a "super power".

Eh, the world changes and so too will the expectations we have of the "super power", might get worse might get better.

Also I doubt the founding fathers were perfect so expecting perfection from a imperfect foundation is just silly.

Hey people predicted the Delhi Commonwealth Games would be Armageddon and nothing happened. Maybe it'll be a similar thing like we expect they'll destroy us all but they actually spread peace and love. Hey! It could happen!

is that one of those "chan" pages?

It seems most chan visitors have the same online persona almost. There's this former 99chan member who went to prison for 2 years and then wrote about his experiences: 2 Years In Prison - A Man's Story

now, chan members are known to troll, in a similar fashion as you, so who knows how much of that shit is true. but it's a good read, i'll make another thread.

Ok, first off, fuck you. Second off, yes, it is.

He does make good points, but as Pittsey said... USA as a Superpower is better than seeing China as one who is morally upside down. As for India, I love Indians, they cool - they have amazing curry burgers, and I wish them all the best. lol

Dumb question, but have you ever had Indian food?

He should take a history class before whining about anything.

USSR pre-industrialised my ass. They undertook major, major leaps after the 1920's. Hell, when the Jerries invaded they lugged it all up and rebuilt it behind the Ural. His sense of the Soviet Union's military capabilities seems grossly underrated.

Yes, it's good - too bad it's spicy as hell and gives me the runs. (no disrespect, my stomach isn't made for spicy)
I used to think the same thing, but if you try one of the milder curries it will change your life. I was reborn using Thai Curry then got converted to Indian curries such as the Korma, now I can handle the heat pretty good although eye watering heat not so much lol.

Yeah, but vegetarian dishes for my dad and herself. Occasionally my dad, sister, and I would make some chicken or lamb together. My dad used to eat meat before he turned vegetarian and used to cook for himself in med school. So he's taught me how to cook as well.

What I meant was eating at an Indian restaurant, a ton of non-veg dishes like I used to back at home. There is an Indian restaurant in my college town (surprisingly) and it's pretty good, but my white friends are pussies and only one of them has eaten there with me before. He liked it, but the others don't want to try it. And I don't have a car down here with me, so I'm at their mercy.

Soon as I get home...

You should just force them. Appeal to their culinary sense, or else make a wager out of it. Tell them they're pussies or something. And if they do come, make sure the chef makes their dishes not particularly spicey. Our white throats don't handle it that well.

I do like Indian food though, everytime ive had it, which isnt nearly often enough, i really enjoyed it. In the Nethies we have a lot of Indonesian style cooking and almost every "Chinese" restaurant here is Indo-Chinese cuisine. Things like nasi goreng, bami goreng, babi pajang, saté, is that on the average chinese menu there in the states? We got it cos of the colonial past in Indonesia and when those people came here they brought it with them.

The spicy Indo dishes arent that different from Indian food in principle. Indo food relies on spicy as well. I can handle spicy a lot better than most other (white) folks but when spiced up to proper Indian/Indo levels the flames come outta my ears as well.

I haven't had Indonesian food, or at least those dishes don't sound familiar. They almost sound like Thai dishes. Thai is another food that's comparable to Indian food, at least in hotness. We eat a lot of Thai back at home, or we used to when we went out to eat.

I had authentic German food for the first time this past summer and it was pretty good.

I had a Schnitzel, but there were many different kinds. Chicken, pork... then there were different seasoning ones. I think it was a Bier Schnitzel?

I pretty much converted everyone I know into loving Indian food.. Just gotta make sure the first place they go don't go overboard on the heat.

Damn it I want some curry now!

I was actually surprised after finding out that kebabs are a common fast food item in the UK. When I was there, all I remember eating was fish and chips on walks home from school. I know kebabs can be Indian or Mediterranean, but still, everyone goes and gets one occasionally after work. Well, everyone except Casey.

I guess it's not that surprising. In the States, Chinese food is the token meal, it seems, when working late at the office.
