Good work. Now those chickas will be all over you. "Gotcha Bitch!"
First thing is first, before you head out into the world in your new white horse. It is very cool to wear your safety belt, and it doesn't make you look like a G by placing your left hand at 12 o'clock. Make sure you're are 10 and 2 or whatever position they taught you. Spending lots of money on after market gimmicks won't do you much good. Place that money into a high yield savings so you can get a better car as soon as possible.

I have much more to say, but I know you're anxious - I will let you go. *slaps the horses ass*

That's a smart woody :)
As a music lover, after market system is a must. All you really need is two 10" or one 12" (also a new deck with MP3/ACC/Bluetooth and speakers). Believe me.

$1 US is about 1.14 AU so I'm just going to use US$..

The deck is not a priority if you have output in the back to connect to an amp. If you have decent factory speakers, those will work until you blow them :D

For a decent deck, you're looking at about $200.
Speakers are hard to say, it depends on how many and what size your car uses. You also need to keep the Wattage in mind. I'd say $200-$300 if you want speakers that last.
You could find an alright Bass package with box/subs/amp for anywhere between $150 -$300. Just don't buy shitty packages.

Go test products at car audio shops, and have them install it if you don't want to deal with it. Be careful though - they'll likely trick you into spending more if they live off commission. Do a little research and show them that you know a bit about what you're trying to buy. Don't let them fuck with the Woodster!

Keep the old speakers, etc and put it back in when you sell it. :D move what you bought into the new car. Standard size deck will fit most cars (sedan/coupe), and sub/amp will work in any car so what you need to worry about is the speaker sizes - the aftermarket speakers may not fit into the new car.

Having it be a gradual growth is really a plus. Adding new items every few weeks or so. First the deck, then sub/amp, then speakers - in that order would be best in your case. One other thing is your car battery and alternator - they'll take a beating if you prefer juicy bass, so if you notice your car lights flickering, you may want to tone it down or invest in a capacitor.

anytime, any thread

^ I hope you'll be standing between the wall and Woody's car. A simple decapitation of both legs below the knees would do.

you see, adding the second line with a bit more detail goes a long ways!

Congratulations, young one. Three pieces of advice for you, in correct order these are:

1.) Don't drink and drive. Really, don't.
2.) Wearing a seatbelt makes you survive stuff.
3.) Don't do things with the car on the public road when you don't really know what the car's gonna do.

Adhere to these three basic principles and you should survive your first five years of motoring. :thumb:
