Your last line makes absolutely no sense at all.

Will is essentially separating himself from the current mainstream Hip hop trend of violence, mysogyny and materialism. By doing so, he is inadvertantly equivocating Tupac with this type of mentality, as he proves in his lack of understanding of why Tupac's name is whispered on street corners across the world. Will is not alone in his mis-interpretation. Many people still mis-perceive Tupac and what he ultimately wanted to represent and achieve.

In other words, Will should realistically have some understanding of what Tupac's message is, but he dont.

Will Smith : The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Tupac Shakur: The Havenot of Harlem

U dig?

Will simply asked why. He didnt, from what I just read, critisize them for loving Pac. There is many ways the kids could have answered the question, one would be that his a inspiration to them another is that he's a "criminal" or some blurred vision of Pac which would be a negative influence on youth. Looking at it like that its sensible to ask the question to see how Pac is being perceived. I see the article as Will emphasizing the influence rappers have so much that Tupacs name is on a wall in Mozambique. I think Will has a great deal of respect for Tupac.

I said arguably.
True, you did & it is all a matter of opinion. Just that I think there is little argument there. It's all good though.

Yeah, like bigCash said, I meant Public Enemy. It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back & Fear Of A Black Planet are extremely social conscious - the par for most of their work.

*signs autograph for CTD for remembering.........then stabs him in the neck with the pen*

Will Smith hates Pac because his wife loves 2pac more than Will Smith. She always did and always will. She cries whenever she talks about Pac. Plus, on top of that, she wanted to name one of their kids "Tupac", but Will Smith didnt want that. I think he's super white washed.
It's the truth but I understand him.

Just when I think the posts in Life have fallen to an all time though.... I read 2 pages of this.

By the way... Ali G called his dog 2pac in the movie. Do you think that was disrespectful. I believe it was a dig at 2pac and he was infact calling him a mongrol. Let's kill Ali-G.

Jada said on Oprah she makes will wear a bandana and fake nose ring when they have sex

And when Still I Rise first came out somebody hijacked a truckload full of Best Buy cd's and burned them on the freeway. They suspected Will Smith and his entourage, but the case was dropped by the police department
