... try to Justify insults by saying that they are 'a joke'?


Seriously, someone at work the other day tells me to 'shut the fuck up' which for one: is swearing (bad language), and two: is something I do not see as civil behaviour. Then when I complain at the fact, the insult then gets turned into a joke - what like it's a joke to insult me, like it's funny? that's like pouring salt into a wound.

Fuck taking a joke, if it involves being insulted. I don't see what is funny, it's probably a joke the lower classes share, I don't know.

Do you have trouble reading basic English? I said there is no such thing as an "uptight" suburb, we dont have rich & poor suburbs, we all live together. I've never said England is poor, I've said England is expensive, and that most people live on benefits.

i don't know. most of the time, if i tell someone to shut the fuck up i am joking and sometimes they may take it the wrong way. to which my response would inevitably be, "i was just joking." now, if i mean it you would be able to tell by my demeanor and the tone of my voice and it would probably be followed up with something along the lines of "go fuck yourself"
