Who agrees that Pac would've been better off not being drunk when in the studio?

i was playing my friends (non pac fans) Still I Rise the other day, and they liked some of the songs but we all noticed how much Pac really slurred his words alot (perfect example is Killuminati) because he was most likely drunk

well we were going for a burn ride, and had smoked a couple bowls by the time Killuminati came on, and all noticed how that song would be fucking incredible if Pac had re-recorded it all (especially his first verse) un-drunk

It would've been different, not necessarily better or worse. I think that the words he wrote came out from his drunken mind state, but they are still his words, not the alcohol's. If he wasn't drinking we'd probably have less rage-filled lyrics.

amazing he didn't stumble over himself more. nothing's worse than trying to work with artists who arrive half in the bag and require 10 takes and layering for lines they wrote themselves.

If you mean the 2nd verse in the song, it sounds cut' up as hell.

Like they deleted empty spaces on the acapella to make it fit the beat.

Maybe Dante can confirm this?

I honestly dont know, considering he was almost always under the influence. Weed and alcohol does fuck with ur mind and how u think. I know this from previous experiences, heavy amounts of weed smoke make me act different than the norm. If i was always sober i would probably be a miserable person, that thought out things WAY TOO MUCH. Weed sometimes alters my mood in a matter of minutes after smoking. I can go from sad to glad or the opposite. But one thing that weed does do is intensify what ever it is i am feeling at that time. Plus weed and alcohol have different effects on an individual basis.

Think of what tupac did with a racing, pacing, never sit down, always fuckd up mind state, constantly partying...

Now think if pac would of sat in the studio all day with his mind COMPLETELY clear...

Id love to hear them both.

A better question would be trying to figure out which tracks Pac may have done when not high or drunk.

Either way, I think Pac would have gone back and touched up some of the mistakes that we hear in the posthumous albums. Stuff like the outro on The Good Die Young where he says "all the full...fallen soldiers" Usually I don't think it makes any difference though.

Well, why dont we compare some non drunk and drunk songs. which songs are made during him being drunk and which songs when he was sober? just post few songs.

well i have noticed a lot of screwups on Pac tracks, like saying wrong words and whatever, slurring his words and shit. But like Pac himself said "Niggas is drunk and high when they listenin to it" lol

dont agree, coze that makes the song more human, it was his life, all day drunk n stoned, and atleast that makes shit real and deeper
