Time to move on? My thoughts as a pac fan. Please read.

First of all i want to say hi to anyone who remotely knows me on this board. Secondly, i want to talk about pac, ourselves and this board.

Also, yeah there is alot of writing which i know many of you cant deal with - but if you have a brain and want to read on, do so.

After visiting on here for 3 or 4 years, right now i just feel exhausted. Exhausted of beign a pac fan. Now its not like i chose to be a pac fan, and i'm sure any real pac fan knows what im saying.
Its hard to explain how i feel, I remember when being a pac fan was fun - talking intelligenlty to others, listening to pac old and new, discovering new songs, dvds, books. All of the emotion i used to feel are just not there anymore - i walk past my pac collection without picking somthing up 90% of the time right now.

and now im turning to the older pac heads for advise, did you go through this stage?

Now when i started listening to pac i was 15-16 and now im 20 in the middle of the year. After learning about pac for 4 or so years ago, like i said im just tired and bored. Now i know 4 years isnt long compared to some - but in those four years like many other fans they were total pac, 24/7 - it was all about pac.

I remember the total BUZZ before an album dropped, before a new book or dvd. But when L2TG was announced i was just like "ah ok another one" becasue the releases have been getting progressively worse and my enthusiasm wasnt there anymore, not only for the material but for pac. I used to visit Hitemup.com every single say without fail - i havn't done that in over a year.

Is it me getting older and maturing or is it the pac scene? older heads have you been through this?

Also, this board - it is the worst it has been for beefing, freeposting & useless threads, etc and that doesnt help either. I remember when i could come on here and be guarenteed a good topic - no more.

so,

is it pac?
is it me?
is it the scene?
is it the new members?
is it the progression of hip hop and ideologies?

I oculd go on, but im tired and its late. Ah, i feel lost and confused? older pac fans im asking for advise.

thanks.

I feel ya. I feel the same way most part. Im still a Pac fan, but just dont feel the excitement any more.

And people here just want to fuck around and crack jokes do this and that and dont do anything with their time. Shit most of the serious thrreads are ignored. Last night I posted some new Pac info, it went largely ignored it seems.

My advice to you is to keep your head up, as cliche as it sounds. We are all getting older, and soon the kids will be weeded out of here and we can have some mature discussions.

Peace.

After pac left, things change, the rap game died.

Loyal 2 tha game is the wackest pac album ever made.

Put 2 and 2 together, i understand where you coming from, but i will never feel what you saying, because its westside for life yo. Just take a break and come back yo, thats all. When the right tupac album get release, you be back believe that.

I think loyal 2 tha game, cause alot of tupac fans to go, WTF?????

Twilrzy, I just want to take a quick second to thank you. The way you spoke bout pac like it wasn't just music was really great. Sometimes i find myself thinking I'm going crazy when I talk about pac to friends or try to get them to listen to him because they don't get how I listen to his music as a worshipper, not just casual listening. I have been listenin to pac 24/7 since 8th grade and I'm a junior in college now. I am a newb to this bored but besides that I can somewhat understand what your saying. I think the loss of excitement is normal though. THe fact remains that there is less and less pac out there to be discovered. I'm kinda goin through the same thing as u tho. Although I know all my pac is way better than anything else, i still find myself listening to the game or whatever instead of runnin through my Makaveli 7 day theory for the 10,000th time. I just joined up here on "hitemup.com" or "2pacboard" whatever it is now, but I hope it stays up because I'm just like a lone pac fan up here in cold ass minnesota and aside from the retarded topics this site has been great. Pac will not always be exciting, but if your anything like me you go through phases and after a few months you'll want to run through Unconditional Love and Life goes on another 200 spins. I think LTTG wasn't very good but it's still good for people because if it introduces 5 people to pac who go back, it'll definitely be worth it to them. heh, i was playing halo 2 the other day and someone saw my name (primemakaveli) and they started singing Hail mary and I started singing with em then the 2 other people started in, it was great, so as long as he can stay in the spotlight the best so everyone can have a chance to discover him. THose are my thoughts, if anyone chose to read this far:-P

Here is one idea, act like its 1996 - 1997 and scream westside thugliving all day and flash the W to anyone , even old people and continue to scream Westside, deathrow records and start another east vs west war.

Do that man, and i betcha you be happy again. :D ;)

*just playing, but on the real, the bottom line after Makaveli Left Nothing is the same anymore, it hurts to see the change

Peace, and Westside in my motherfu**** heart....

Maybe U need a break from pac. Stop listening for a while, then start again. Or listen to more pac songs then just the same ones all the time. When u do that u will appreciate the versatility. He has so many songs touching on different topics. The more u know about what Pac is talking about. The interest in the music goes up. FEEL ME?

as time goes on, and as the albums get worst, somthing keeps me from leaving the Pac game. I find myself bumping lttg even tho i disagree with it's producition. Mabey they should not release stuff that 2Pac never saw fit to put out, but shit, i wanna keep hearing more, i can't help it. As for this board, there should always be intelligent conversations going on but theres idiots no matter where u go, I just deal with it.

Twirlzy i feel ya man, I havent really experienced that same thing because i have been really in2 pac for as long as some on here, but i have felt it with other musicians, when i was younger i could jus sit there and read everything and was really enthusiastic.

I dunno i think its growing up, and as you learn some other things you lose your idealism, possibly

Hey Twirlzy, i don't often post on threads unless i feel that it is nessecery, and in this case i obviously do. I feel what u r sayin, i'm in the same situation, same age, same time scale of being a Pac fan etc. I also felt the same way, except i had a little bit of hope that the majority would be proved wrong when L2TG came out. However, and unfortunatly, i was the one who was proved wrong. The way i stay strong tho, and keep hope is by listenin to the songs that first got me listenin to Pac, the songs that really inspired me to do somethin with my life instead of jus giving up, it's just a suggestion, and i hope it works for u. Those same songs that got me through my rough times back in 1996/7, i jus out on now, yet i'm not living in the past, as Pac's music is timeless, and i feel it's just as relevant now as it was then.
Peace, one love, and 'keep ur head up'

im 20 been into pac's music since i was 14 and i gotta say it aint you it's not pac either it actually afeni. what we do is hope, hope for a classic, we want that tupac sound that was when he was alive, that high guarantee that we got wif matw, aeom, and makaveli they are regarded as the best and after we received nothin but pure bullshit.
in regards to amaru records, they are the reason pac is losin fans, why???
-they are liars-
they never release singles that they say they will, they lie about producers, wif lttg i heard dre was asked but no, but kanye might be and jamie foxx was on board, and now u look at lttg.

ive lost all hope for a classic release or atleast a chart topper song, its not coz i wanna only be a fan of a chart toppin artist but i want pac to be big recognized and apreciated in ppl who dont even know about pac.

it makes me feel eghausted as well man.
but what can ya do hey

I feel you, it's cause your older and not as impressionable. I'm about to turn 20 and I'm not on it like that anymore. When you turn like 19/20 and shit it's time to stop idolising muthafuckas and have the nuts to be your own man. My advice to you is just get off his dick, stop trying to find new Dvds and shit, stop watching Thug Angel and Ressurection so much, stop doing shit like that and like 2 months from now pop in All Eyes on me again and it'll just be good music again.

me in a similar boat... i think its because for 1, we're getting older, 2 - most importantly, latest couple of 2pac projects been just garbage - not even average. no videos no promo no hype basically. give us some decent producers and productions and maybe we'll be back how we used to be.

if you dont like shit in here then get the fuck outta here. i for myself am enjoying the boards and the threads, and alot of other cats are too. sure theres alot of bullshit and joke threads, but thats where the fun is,at least you can get a good laugh or start some net beef to waste a little time. if it was all serious questions and info it would be boring as fuck and im sure alot of ppl would just read and leave, the board would go down for lack of interest. pz
