anyone ever realize how humble Pac was toward his work ethics? he never openly said and bragged about how much work he really did over the years... we now know he was in the studio almost ALL the time, and he didn't stay in one place for a long time. he always had somewhere to go or some people to see. some clips I can think of where Pac talks about working non-stop:
* we have that home video clip of him in the studio where he is tellin the Outlawz and a few others that they don't "have the time or the luxury" to make one track every 2 weeks, and that others can do all the technical shit "after the rappers leave." this whole clip he's speaking from experience and with total confidence, because it's what he already does himself.
* in those recent XXL articles, all the producers commented on how dedicated Pac was, and how many nights that turned into mornings that never ended, all studio time, week after week. the articles also commented on how harsh Pac was to the studio engineers, calling them "Goat Heads," a word he coined himself. he had faith in everyone though, for example, he even went up to the "wack room" producers that nobody liked working with in Death Row. he gave them a chance, and they worked hard, so they ended up producing almost all of the Makaveli album.
* he made All Eyez on Me in 2 weeks and Makaveli in 7 days. I'm guessing these albums continue to generate millions of $'s annual revenue for Death Row. no idea how long it took him to make 2pacalypse, Strictly, Thug Life vol1, or M.A.T.W.
* if you think about it how long it took him to actually write the songs that appeared on RU Still Down, Until the End of Time, Better Dayz (ALL classic double cds in my opinion (debate for this in other threads)), then I would guess that it took him less than 2 weeks each to make these 3 albums. from what I heard, Pac wrote songs in record time.
* Pac acted in a very impressive string of movies for a young black aspiring musician/actor of his time.
* in the song 'Fright Night' (d/l here: http://tinyurl.com/68dow ), Pac says "... hittin weed like it's all right, up in the studio, makin music all night ..."
* we have footage of Pac criticizing Dre for the Cali Love video shoot, saying that he was up there for like 3 days (as I remember). he looked at this as an eternity of time and thought he wasted too much time on the set, but on the reality of it, new rap video artists are spending weeks or even months per video at a time.
other than these examples and some others, I don't think Pac really was that open and never bragged about how much work he did in his life. this is a strong virtue in a man, and is rarely seen in hip hop now adays. if you guys can think of other examples where we see Pac mention how hard he actually works (# songs/day at a certain time?) I'm all earz. this is what I just thought of on the top of my head.
