Sex on your period?

I read somewhere that 9 out of 10 females between the ages of
16 - 24 choose not to have sex when they're on their period.

Now my question is, do you/have you had sex while having your period?

I have on a couple of emergency occasions but I usually choose not to, because I think it's kinda gross. I'm pretty uncomfortable having it in the first place and I definetly don't feel sexy. I think it's more of a problem for me than it is for him though, he doesn't seem to care as much lol.

I have actually never had sex on my period, the thought kinda grosses me out, i hate that time of the month anyway the last thing i feel like doing is having sex! Plus i would be as paranoid as fuck about smell etc

Been there, done that. For some reason sex while i was on my period seemed better than when i'm off. It's like my hormones are at a higher level of anticipation and it just made the sex great!

I didn't have sex when i first came on my period though, and it isn't something I do all the time. It's usually when I'm about to come off, and although i don't do it frequently, I would do it again. Plus, me and my ex had been together for soo long, it wasn't anything we didn't try, except for anal *gags* I think that's crossing the line, lol

Well, once i'm in a relationship again, that is.

i'm the same as syn, i've only ever done it at the end of my period and that was only when my man insisted. it's not as bad as ppl make it out to be really.

If you're laying on your back the blood isn't "flowing"...my periods only last 3 or so days so it's never really been a huge problem. I've done it plenty of times....feels good actually. Maybe if I had a heavy flow (sorry to be so...egh) I would think different but it's a lil blood and it washes away...

yeah i have done it a few times, i didnt want to but my boyfriend said that he didnt care i was kind of like no its going to be gross going to get on you (sorry to be so graphic) but he was like fuck it man i dont care, i was like wtf fine its your dick. Well we didnt use a condom, and needless to say, there was no smell nothing on him. And since then weve done it a few times. But my periods have always been really light. And i only do it when im either coming off of it or getting on, because thats when they are the lightest for me. And i agree with the other girls, does feel good.

But in the same topic, have any of you had sex and it like triggered your period? Ive had that happen i got on my period like five minutes after i had sex, and my boyfriends boy said that happened to his girl as well.

You shouldn't do it when the flow is really heavy, wait till it lightens up, it isn't that bad, the flow of blood actually stops while you're in the process of having sex, and like I said, I've THOROUGHLY enjoyed it :thumb:

I don't think it's that disgusting, I have dealt with having periods for 7 years now lol. I just personally wouldn't wanna do it.
I think it would make me uncomfortable and I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

Yes you can still get pregnant if your on your period and have sex, ive heard of a lot of girls doing that. And some girls still get their period while pregnant. If thats what your referring to.

As far as aids go, i believe you can still get stds while on your period, because you catching an std has nothing to do with the egg. I dont know though i could be wrong. You can also get aids from oral. If you have a cut, and bodily fluid gets in. lots of ways. But you might want to do some research, but i think it still is possible with the aids, i know for sure about the period. Even though its rare.

Well, you can't get pregnant while being on your period. However, the sperm can stay inside your body until you're ovulating so you're not completely safe even if you are on your period. You can't get pregnant until you're ovulating.

i knew about the pregancy thing but katarina is right on that one. i wsa only thinking about the aids mostly. stds i know u can get them whever u have sex.

As for the pregnancy question.

You get pregnant when you're ovulating like Katarina said. You can actually track this date if you want. You are most fertile the 14th day after the first day of your period and that also includes that entire week surrounding that day.

You can catch any STD while having sex because it's an exchange of bodily fluids and whenever there is an exchange of bodily fluids you are putting yourself at risk.
