It seems like next year during my summer holidays I'll go to the states for 2 or 3 weeks to work in one of IBM's facilities. I will have a visa for a few months so I decided that I would like to actually use it and stay there for longer.
I'd like to check out how it is to live and study there - learn language, meet new people (locals and foreigners too) etc.
Today I thought of a nice idea but I don't know if something like that is possible - that's why I decided to ask here.
I'd like to find a school that organizes some kind of 2-3 month courses over the summer holidays. I'd love to live in some sort of hostel with other students (might be international students, that would be even better) where I could simply learn how it is to be a student there.
I've been considering to move there for a whole year but that would be too expensive and too long after all and since I picked a hard major my grades wouldn't qualify me for any local exchange program.
Any ideas?
