The 2 representatives from amaru claim that my verse was taken off "And 2morrow" due to "a word interpolation" in my rhymes. When asked "which line it was?" we did not receive any answer. This leaves us all wondering how an original rhyme of mine, a poem, that Tupac loved and had helped me finish, is considered an interpolation.
Why is it that everyone who was involved with Tupac Shakur during his life, who loved him, made music with him, lived with him, cried with him, and would die for him, seem to be the only ones that are treated with disrespect and contempt (i.e. Yaasmyn Fula, Storm, Yaki Kadafi, Mopreme Shakur, Spice 1, and all the others). People such as Dina Lapolt, who didn't even know Tupac Amaru Shakur, continue to make decisions that denigrate his life, legacy, and his music.
This was disrespectful not only to Tupac, Kadafi, Roniece, Money B, 5th, Donny Rizzo, myself (Candyman 187), and all the other artists, but most of all to Shock G and the fans. Amaru took a masterpiece and completely destroyed it. We are all very disappointed with Amaru's decision to allow personal feelings and opinions to affect artistic decisions when it comes to TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR's Albums. The love and feeling that we put in to the original song does not at all reflect what was put out. Shock even turned in 2 different versions of the song, one which didnt have my verse and one with the verse.
Not only did they remove my verse, they also completely changed the feel of the song as Shock G had produced it. This IS NOT what Shock G turned in. It is a gross insult to any producer to take their original mix, and revise it without their knowledge and consent.
As of now all I can say is that I am very dissapointed in Amaru, a label that we had a lot of trust and faith in. We are all very hurt.
This is a slap in the face of everything Tupac Amaru Shakur stood for. Above all else Pac made sure people who he loved and worked with were respected.
Nothing but love and respect for Mamma Shakur as we have been told that she had no knowledge of this.
One Thug One Nation.
