New goodies for my car :D

It's nothing huge, but I picked these up earlier this week:

These springs were recently released for the Evo and were developed based on the input of the online Evo community, and I had a tiny say in it... plus I even picked the color that they eventually ended up using. Hopefully I can install these sometime soon, but I don't really have money for a new alignment at the moment. By the way, the same day, I filled up my car next to one of these:

Lotus Exiges are so sexy... and tiny.

Technically, I'd want an Exige, but I'm afraid I wouldn't fit :(

Black? :)

What's the difference with the original springs? Stiffer?

Actually the springs are gray, like the color of my car. Originally he was going to make them yellow, but I said that as good as they are, the springs being yellow would be enough to make me not want to buy them, and I had suggested black or gray (to match my car :p ) because it's a little less obvious, so if I were to take my car in for service at the dealership, it wouldn't be as obvious that the car was modified if the springs were a stock-ish color rather than something as blatant as yellow or red... plus the drop isn't anything drastic.

Compared to the original springs, it drops the front 20 mm (0.8") and the rear 15 mm (0.6") while offering stiffer rates than most springs. A lot of people who have used them actually believe that they are the best springs for the Evo on the market, as they used the Swifts (which were the previous best springs) as their benchmark during development. So while coilovers are the best option for suspension modifications, these springs are a really good alternative, especially for drivers who don't feel like spending $2000 on a race-spec suspension when they don't take their car to the track every weekend.
