Need Cool Edit Pro Help

#1
Ive made some tunes usin this software and its all good i jus have one lil problem when i cut it down so it only comes on when my verse chorus or what ever comes in ya can hear lil clickin noise, now some people have said they dont notice it, but cause i know exactly where i put it to come in i hear it exactly and it irritates the hell out of me cause i expect that other people might hear it too, so is there anythin you can do to master the track afterwards smoothin out the lil clicks of where the vocals begin and end or even some mastering software which can master the tracks I appreciate any advice or info that can be given

im not really sure what you are trying to ask... but it sounds like ur saying that there is a clicking noise after you mix down your audio tracks. check all your tracks beforehand to see if there are any clicking noises before you mixdown all the files.

naa what im sayin is when ya record on cool edit pro they work in bars dont they of what ya record well obviously when ya start recordin ya put it in a lil earley so have time to prepare to drop in ya vocal then when ya done ya either silence or cut the part that ya spent jus waitin for the beat to come in on ya vocal well when i cut it when it plays on the track it makes a lil click noise of where ive started to do my vocal if ya get what im sayin

ummm youre not making it very clear.. is it clicking in the part that you cut out or is it actually making clicking noises on the part where your vocals are playing? if there was no clicking noises before you mixed down. there shouldnt be any clicking noises after u mix down. youre going to have to be a little bit more detailed.

Make sure there is no gap in audio. What I mean, is make sure theres no spot in the song where there is no audio track running.

This is what I think is happening:

|--Track 1 --||-- Track 2--| |-- Track 3 --|

The gap between track 2 and 3 causes the static/click.

Instead, try to make your sessions look something like this:

|--Track 1------|
....................|-- Track 2 --|
....................................|-----Track 3 --|

I suggest instead of cutting the parts you dont want out, instead convert them to silence to prevent this error and overlap each of the tracks.

Hope that helps.

I tested out ya theory and it works both ways, if i cut it or if i silence it props for da info, i used to try silencin but it was worse than when i cut it out cause it made big noise when the recordin started so i jus started cuttin, but i never tried lettin the recordins over lap before i took em off, repped anyways

Ok, then it clicking because it suddenly cuts into sound. What you need to do is cut it a bit further back, or silence it a bit further back, and then FADE the wav in. that will remove the click.
