One of the most annoying things for me to do during a mix is levels, especially if youre using industry beats which are often either too loud or quiet.
What tricks do you guys have?
The best advice I can give people reading this is dont boost vocals if they're too quiet, instead drop the beat. I usually drop the beat all the way and then bring it up until it's right.
I also try to leave a -6db space on everything before I send it to wave lab to master without dropping the master fader in Pro Tools.
