Letter To The President

There is probably no one on this board that could answer this question knowingly, but did Tupac at any point in his life directly correspond with the President or any of his associates?
It would not surprise me if he did, for he had political connections with the Black Panther Party.

Ok, so Dan Quale remarked on 2Pacalypse Now - "This album, has no place in our society" and Pac returned that with a comment inside the cover of Strictly 4... 'fuck dan quale' or whatever he put.

Nothing said on more civil terms?

I doubt pac talked directly too him.. but who cares what quale says, he's known for his ridiculously stupid quotes. He's like 30 times worse than bush is!

These are some of my favs...

It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it.
-- Vice President Dan Quayle

I believe we are on an irreversible trend toward more freedom and democracy - but that could change.
-- Vice President Dan Quayle

If we do not succeed, then we run the risk of failure.
-- Vice President Dan Quayle,

The loss of life will be irreplaceable.

Also, it's not like the Black Panther Party was a very popular bunch that would be invited to speak to the president and share opinions. Tupac's "black panther connections" don't really amount to much.

you just said all you needed to know...
in their hayday, the black pather party had been regarded as a domestic terrorist organization, much like some of the militias of the 90's. though some very concrete good and positive strides toward justice were achieved, the method of change commonly associated with the panthers was hardly palatable to the government. so no, the government would have no interest in anything to do with the panthers except imprisonment or disbanding.

as for pac and politics, a lot of people have it twisted. true indeed a lot of hollywood personalities are involved in politics, but pac could never have fit into the mold. pac was a felon, which removes his opportunity for running for government office. aside from his criminal charges, even in the most liberal society someone who used vulgarity, violence, and sexually explicit lyrics to the level pac did would never be considered for office. you know that people in their 20's don't vote, and that the 45-70 year old cohort essentially run the show, so a senator who recorded fuck 'em all a few years back would never be a reality.

if you remember, bush sr. let people buy plates at large dinners with him, so people could bump gums with the president. nwa members bought plates and ate, along with a few hundred other guests. that was the end of that... since then the president remains isolated mostly, and would certainly have nothing to do with a rapper of all people for anything apart from a publicity stunt around election time.

Gotta hand it to Eazy-E. He was crazy funny. Bought a seat at the presidents table for $1500. Bush must've been sick.

There is a wall in our society that doesnt allow the president and... "a rapper of all people" the opportunity to communicate. One side interprets and album as " vulgarity, violence, and sexually explicit lyrics" , where as on the other side of the wall the same album is viewed as a message for we want change.

Quayle is attacking Tupac's most political album, to date, in an idiotic way. Standing outside stepping on them shits. True Tupac was very young at the time, and was very immature, but at the same time you have to hear where he is coming from. This is an individual who was able to release an album that would go gold, and eventually platinum at a rediculously young age. Dont take everything at face value. Why is he swearing, what is he swearing about, should be the statements coming out Qualye mouth.

"There is no place for an album like this in our society!"- what?!?

Thats another Quayle quote for the record books... rite up there with trying to change the irreversible path to freedom...

Now thats bafoonery if i ever seen it!
