I've had it for 3yrs now, not that long ago. That used to happen to me a lot, where it just went away for some months, I dunno what caused it, but since i was younger it scared me lol. I used to hate it so much, but now I'm used to it and used to wearing a pad, so its cool now, I know how to deal with the pain involved.
Still maakes you 11 when you started! I feel like a late developer!! lol

I know I am really late for this but I just joined today.

I used to have literally physically disabling pain. I literally could not physically move. I had pain from my upper back/shoulder area down to my knees. I used to bleed all 7 days and used to scream for a doctor.

I am not capable of taking pain killers, for any reason whatsoever. Even after surgery I cannot take pain killers.

Anyways I got my pain/heavy flow issue under control by going on a low dose birth control. Since then I have had 4 day periods and don't have "explosion" issues. I used to just lay there and literally if somebody tried to help me stand up blood and everything would just explode everywhere (hence my wantind a doctor) I was scared.

So yea this is the most private thing I think I have ever shared with people I don't even know....but my solution was birth control.

I have no more pain now.

aww poor u... just had mine a week ago and no suffering at all i was so glad. i love birth control pills. they save my life. maybe u should try that. it would regularize ur periods and it also takes away a lot of suffering.

Weird thing is that I usually have regular periods, they always come when they're meant to, but now they aren't lol. I dunno if I'd wanna go on the pill :/ if next month they're still playing up then I will go see my doc :p

I'm lucky in this respect and rarely suffer from period pain plus I'm real light flow wise too. i heard vitamin B6 is good though, it reduces water retention

something i learned this time around when i got my period was that drinking lots of water reduces cramps. sure youll want to use the restroom alot but hey at least the pain is kinda gone

Those of you that don't have to suffer are sooo lucky. I envy you. Just kidding...a little. hehehe I used to get pains so bad that I would have to call in for work or miss school. What helps me is timing my cycle and taking aleve, or motrin before the pains start to bother me. I also have to switch up on which meds I take because your body does become immune if you take the same thing every time. Apply heat and eat healthy helps also

Unfortunately, I get it but very rarely.

It usually only pops up around the first day or two and then it leaves just as fast. Ibupofen 600 usually knocks the pain right out for me though :thumb:
