Period pain?

I only say this cos today i am in agony!!!! The Dr gave me some painkillers that are really strong and work very well but i left them at home this morning!!

How does everyone else cope? Do you even get period pain? ( I know some women are very lucky and don't suffer)

I'm pretty lucky, I only get pains on the first few days cos that's when I'm really heavy. Sometimes they're really bad but most of the time they're not.

Painkillers don't work for me if I have them bad tho :(

I have em bad the first few days but only thing I do is take some Midol and bear with it. Sometimes it's so bad that it has me doubled over and on the brink of tears but since I can't be all doped up at work, I hafta deal with it. I used to not have any problems but the last year or so, it's been awful. I miss those days of only having it for like 4 days and not having any pain. Now it's like 7-9 days long and comes every 3 weeks. :( I hate it. Damn Eve for being weak and eating that stupid apple. :D

i take just regular painkillers like Tylenol, midol, or motrin, they work for me, and i get really bad cramps. You guys get it for 4 days? damn, mines last like 6-7 it sucks so badly, sometimes it comes very late like which scares me, even tho i know i havent done anything like that lol.

I don't even notice I'm on my period cuz I don't feel pain at all, so I feel really lucky. :) although I suffered a lot when I was younger. I never took that kind of pills so I have no idea if they work or not, but our PE teacher at high school always advised us to do sport and keep moving, that's supposed to stop the pain. If you stay all the day in bed doing nothing it'll be worse.

depends if you've just started them then they're bound to be irregular, the first few years are.
My best friend doesn't have hers at the moment, she hasn't for 3 months due to stress lol

I've had mine for 5 fucking years now  lol mine are regular :thumb:

10? I was 12 when I started, and I thought I was too young to start suffering.

I'm very irregular, I don't have a 28 days period sometimes it's 32 or even more. Do u think I should tell the doctor about this? It must be cuz of stress, but you never know, once I didn't have it for two months and it was cuz I had another kind illness.

^^ wow, everyone seems to have started really young. mine are regular becuase i am on the pill so i know almost to the minute when i am going to come on!

you could go the dr's. i was reading a magazine article about irregular periods at work today and it said in there it's worth talking to your dr about it, it could be stress, but they may also recommend the pill to sort them out.

I've never really had period pain. Like Missy, I hardly notice it. Sometimes I get lower back pain - paracetamol gets rid of that though.

I didn't have period pains for 7 years, then they came and now I'm in pain every month. I had a miscarriage, so I think it's from that. I just take two painkillers daily and I'm good.

I've had it for 3yrs now, not that long ago. That used to happen to me a lot, where it just went away for some months, I dunno what caused it, but since i was younger it scared me lol. I used to hate it so much, but now I'm used to it and used to wearing a pad, so its cool now, I know how to deal with the pain involved.
