- font and back album art (sometimes color alteration) for double disc albums - don't like seeing doubles on coverflow.
- never been a fan of rating songs, but the iPod touch makes it very easy to rate songs and I'm now starting to truly understand smart playlist on iTunes.
- my music collection is going through a revolution - I'm switching everything I can to m4a.

Not as anal as Sir Chronic, but I too like to keep my directory clean and song info plenty.

I thought having album covers was a given. I think the only I don't do that you do is group artists, like Wu for example, or do it by record label. I just got a folder for every artist. Even like 9th for instance, he has his own and then 9th and Murs has it's own. Oh yeah, im jealous of the 93 gigs, im at a shameful 78, but i think my harddrive is about to crash

Well I survived the Great Crash of '05 but that collection was less organized and had less albums, although there were some 'rarities' that I'd like back. So... I don't know.

I have it backed up though.

I'm comparably anal. You're just a bit ahead of me. I have less albums already sorted, but I go by the same principle.

You should see my Tupac collection before I got lazy. Now there is a bunch of shit I need to sort out.

I always check is the tag is correct before uploading a track to my mp3. of course, if the quality if shitty, i'll redownload it. its as simple as that.

also at some point i had all my tracks organized in folders.. but now i have no time and am really lazy with this.

i buy almost all of my musc cd's...mostly 2Pac...but i also buy other artists as well then i rip the cd's i like to my computer...i try and buy in lots...but when i do download mp3's i rename the id3 tags to the same way it would be if i ripped the songs straight from the cd...but windows media player does most of the work for me..they make a folder for each of the artist cd that i have....

oh ya and i rip in either .wav or 320 mp3 joint stereo.

I'm in between, I suppose. All my albums that are complete are neatly organized. I don't care much for proper tags except artists and song title.
