What does it take to keep your hair looking real good?

What kinda hair do you have? What style colour etc? How do you wear it mostly?

How often do you visit the hairdressers?

What are your fave hair products? What can't you live without when it comes to your hair?

I never ever used to do anything with my hair... coz I was at a private school I had to wear it up, no colour, no nothing...

Recently, I've changed my hair totally. It was loooong. Now it's just past my shoulders, the before and after was pretty funny - my mum and my bf were a bit freaked out for a while. lol.

I dyed it a fair bit darker and put highlights in it. I use a straightener because my hair gets pretty wild, not necessarily curly but it has too much body and just boofs out.

Lately I've been sucked in by those 'frizz defence' serums... it kinda works. Also been using some mousse and hairspray occasionally coz of the wind. To be honest, most days I dont go out coz I am working on my thesis (*cough* yeah posting on the board. lemme alone! lol) so I dont do anything with my hair.

I hate hairdressers so I avoid them but I found a good one in the city that is a coffee shop, beauty salon and clothes shop all in one AND the best part - they have massaging chairs at the wash basin thing!!! Awesome!

I went to a private school too, but I hated it and switched eventually.

My hair is just past my shoulders now but it's layered so can be kinda hard to straighten etc, I try not to straighten it too often cus it makes my hair really dry even when I use GHD spray before straightening it. I usually wear my hair down but just recently I've been clipping the front up.

I usually go to the hairdressers at least once every 2 months but I haven't been in about 3 months mainly because I dunno what to have done with my hair! My hair is naturally dark blonde so I generally have a few light blonde highlights through the top - just makes it look healthier somehow!

My fave hair products are Tigi mainly the Bed-Head range (helps alot when I don't straighten my hair). They are pretty expensive but last for ages... they smell real good too :)

My hair is fairly long, probably past my waist, its a darkish brown/black color and its really, really (and i mean REALLY) straight, so i usually put a lil' wave to it by either curling it a bit or making it wavy by crumpling it up while its wet and adding hairspray. But when i get lazy I just leave it down without anything on it, and rarely do i put my hair up.

I dont like going to hair dressers, the idea of them 'expirementing' with my hair scares me. :( Although I would like to dye it a reddish color. I usually just go get my hair cut every six months or so. But lately im just letting it grow some more so i can cut it in nice long layers.

My must have product is anything thats Garnier Fructis I have like 3 different shampoos and a conditioner, hairspray, gel, spray gel, the sleeking thing, and smoothing milk. lol so im a hair freak, i like to keep it nice :p

i love taking care of my hair! it's naturally very dark brown and it goes just past my shoulders. i get it trimmed every month and i use either Toni and Guy or Umberto Gianini products on it. It's naturally wavy so i straighten it now and then too. i'm thinkin of gettin it cut so it's just below my shoulders but i think that would be a little toooo dramatic!

A LOT of work is what it takes to keep my hair looking good, lol, i'm sure no one here has hair similar to mines and can relate to my pain

My hair is, um, a mix between kinky and curly

Exactly like in that pic

Um, i mainly wear my hair in braids. I love afrocentric styles, i'm not a fan of what mainstream America defines as "beauty" I prefer the natural looks. Like right now my hair is in twists.

Just like those, but mines are smaller

My hair color changes ALOT, but right now it's like a light reddish brown, it's hard to describe but it's pretty, almost the same color as me, lol :p

As for the hairdresser, when I try and wear my hair str8 (which isn't very often) I have to go like every three days :( but when I have micros or twists, those last for three months, and french braids last for like 2-3 weeks.

I have straight blonde hair, i got the hairdresser about every 2 - 3 months to get it cut and hi lights done ( i am a natural blonde but as i have got older my blonde hair got darker!)

i tend to use dove shampoo or herbal essences!

I've done everything to my hair.
Right now it's Dk. Brown with hi and lo lights with a little red.
I use tigi products. Bed Head & Catwalk.
I get my hair done every 6 weeks.
It's naturally wavy and I don't like using straightenrs or irons so it usually looks a lil unruly.

There's a great catwalk scrunch spray... I dunno if you've heard of it or already use it but its really good for keeping waves defined and looking less messy.
