lol, i started...sort of. all of my samples are chopped up i just havent had time to work on it, i had final test in class and labs this week but i got the rest of tonight and tomorrow to work on it before i start new classes on tuesday.

school is kicking my ass. i have two quizes for two classes every week and labs 3 times a week 5 times next week, when i am home i am usually sleeping. i have my samples chopped and have played around with them in my sp404 but i havent recorded anything yet. i dont think kami has started on his at all. this competition isnt finished, but i know doug and ray just had their first day of school so it may be a little longer. i got sunday off from school \0/ and saturday evening so when i awake from hibernation i will try and get something recorded. i need something to take into the studio for my simple session lab on monday anyways.

nicely chopped but sounds very "robotic", no hihat?... lil gaps of silence? no other elements? it wud be really tight if it had more

by the gasp of silence are do you mean the parts at the start and end? if thats what you mean then its due not recording on a computer with a DAW and using a 12 track recorder the old fashion analog way. i just didnt care enough to cut off the silence at the start and end.
i only used elements from the sampled song. i didnt hear any hats in it that i thought i could use plus i dont make it a point to put hats in every beat
