today i was at work and it just hit me....my youth is nearly gone....i'm 20 years old and i'm going to turn 21 this july and it sucks....well, i'm going to like being able to legally buy alcohol and not catch anymore underage drinking charges....but it's crazy to look in the mirror and say to myself...dam i'm a grown ass man when it feels just like yesterday when i was in my early teens running wild not giving a fuck without a care in the world....because back then i used to just live in the moment and wouldn't care about the consequences as long as i was having fun....but now i find myself fully thinking things through and doing what i need to do not just what i want to do...and i guess that's the brighter side of getting older is that you get wiser...but those days were fun and i would give anything to back and do it all over again....because i'm almost 21 and before i know it i'll be almost 30 then 40 then next thing i know i'll be a senior citizen wondering where the fuck the time went...and i hate it and i would do anything to slow up time to enjoy the last few years of my youth....i look in the mirror and i look older but sometimes i don't feel older...sometimes i still feel like the same teenager that wants to just hang out with his friends, somke weed all the time, do stupid things and get into trouble...but i know that can never be cause i'm getting older and i have more responsibilities...but that still doesn't change the fact that i want to relive the good ol' days...

what do ya'll think? does anybody else feel the same way?

I know how you feel. Im turning 20 this august. Its weird. But I dont go all out and say "before i know it i'll be almost 30 then 40 then next thing i know i'll be a senior citizen wondering where the fuck the time went." But i feel ya nigga, i feel ya...

See thats how out-dated the laws are these days. People are just turning the legal age to drink and their already "past that" lol 20 isnt old but a new phase just enjoy it and make sure you still have fun, you can still make memories you'll miss when your a senior citizen.

I know what ya saying, seems like just the other day i was 16 an now im 26 4 years away from the big 30. Anyway dont stress too much man 21 is a good age.

im pretty scared of getting older too....

pretty much i live life by music and take shit as it comes...

one day ill be sitting there thinking what the fuck where has time gone

i already feel this way and im only a junior in high school

i would have never figured back then that id be where i am at now...

so many friends have come and gone in my life... so many friends turned enimies

i guess life is one big game, and thats all there is to it, shit changes, u get wiser

i just turned 20 and it feels like the last 5 years have felt like about 1 year

i would love to stay at about 17-18 for my whole life but you gotta wake up to reality and realise that EVERYONE gets old so you just gotta accept it :(

You're only as old as you feel. Shit, y'all ain't seen nothin' yet lol Y'all just turning 20/21 talking bout you're old. Just wait'll you hit 30, that's when you're really wondering where the time went. Most of the time I don't feel my age cause my kids keep me young but there are times when I feel 50 lol Sometimes I look at my 13 yr old son and think "damn, I remember when I was 13...." and it kinda makes me feel old but hell, I don't really have time to feel old. I work a full time job and raising 3 kids that play sports year round so I barely have time to breathe let alone feel old. But it's all good, getting older is just a part of life.

yeah, im 20 and im lovin it. im still actin stupid and shit, even more so probably cause i don't live at home (dormin kicks ass). even though i get into trouble for not wanting to "GROW UP" (as i have heard many many times) im just havin too much fun right now, i got my whole 20's ahead of me, im not even old enough to LEGALLY drink yet! cheer up people, you've got til your 30's to start worrying bout stuff like that (sorry Luv4pac4Ever)

lol You don't have to be sorry. Hell I'm having a better time in my 30's than I did in my 20's, probably because a majority of my 20's was spent with my kids' asshole dad and getting over him. I just started living my life again a few years ago so it's all good. ;)

damn i turn 21 in like a week and a half (may 2nd) and yes i feel exactly the same.

i wonder who the oldest person is on this site? it would be funny if someone was like 50 years old and shit but i wouldn't care if they were
