I'd suggest buying it if you have the money. That way you have a legit version, plus all the manuals etc.

i have sent all who requested it Reason 3.
manuals can be downloaded and printed out, then binded for a small cost.
i do advocate getting a VIP account, but that would still take days possibly to activate. if it wasn't for my habit of not purchasing intangible material, i would surely sign up!

Face it, if you actually wanna try to make some good beats and become something, you need to be legit. I've personally deleted all the "beat making" programs off my computer and am just saving up for a keyboard or an MPC.

/\ my cousin has a 3000, we use it for all our drum programming. its tight as hell, other MPC's don't even compare. He's had it for about 12 years. Shame you can't buy them anymore, if people want them these days they end shelling out a shitload of money on eBay.

and why bother with a 3000, get a 4000, its a step up and you can buy new with warranty for reassurance.
unless you are going to do all sequencing on the machine, get a 1000 because that suffices if you just wanna do the drum patterns. if you got a decent computer you don't need the MPC...

i cant believe im giving the shit out this easily but whatever :)
im glad i paid for it, because if i didnt, i would not have tried to even use it to its full potential. you tend to get a more masterly operation of any software if you buy it legit because that constant thought is in your head: "this thing cost too much money for me to just skip through it, not trying to learn"...
you have a more dedicated approach. i hope you l33ch3rs try to learn this program fully!
