Do you do it often? Are you sick every time you do it or do you call in sick cause you're extra tired some days?

I have stayed home from work maybe 3 times in my lifetime due to illness. Two times in the past six months lol. I am skipping today. I woke up and felt so tired I couldn't help it. I'm not going back to sleep though, but at least i can chill today. It's my birthday tomorrow so that's gonna be nice.

My work depends on me. It cannot function without me. I will be working on my birthday.

Excluding the occasional diarrhea, I have not fallen ill in about 4 years. It could be because I wash my hands two hundred times a day - but I think it's because I'm fucking unbreakable.

PS. I do drink green tea, but I don't drink coffee, I don't take pills and I don't snort lines.

Ive had bad luck with illness lately so my recent history hasnt been good.. Before that I hadnt had a sick day in 2-3 months, which for me is good.

Haven't done it for years... And only do it when I am actually sick... And only when I'm so sick I can't physically work....

If you want to succeed you can't be off work very often... It shows on your record... <<<--- Lesson for you kids... ;)

yeah thats true..my doctor thought differently...everytime i used to go to him with a cold he used to prescribe me some antibiotics (depending on how bad the cold was) and he told me to stay home longer then i needed...which even i thought was too much...but i took the chance to get out of school anyways lol..oh well...

you can succeed and take off too. every now and then you need a break from the bullshit stress from your job.

im planning on taking a day off either monday night or friday. i just wanna do it because im extra tired of going into work, shit gets monatonus (sp).

and when i do usually get sick i do call off, at my place you miss 6 days and you get a letter. 4 letters and your fired. 23 days of work a person can miss

That happens a bit too doc givin you more days than you thought you needed. Found out at work if you go back to work before the certificate says to if anything was to happen you wouldnt be covered for insurance or something.. I only call in when I'm sick.

I know, but I always think if I feel like shit tomorrow I don't want to have to pay again to see a doc just to get it extended in which I requested a shorter time off.. I tend to just go back to work with days remaining on the certificate, looks better that way as well..

All I'm saying to you guys is that when I hire people the first thing I look for is their employment history and abscences.

I get your point Pittsey, but I dont drill myself into the ground over work.. I dont even think new employers can see absences here..

I never rang in sick anymore. I learnt that employers really hate it. Im never even late to work. Im not willing to change employment every couple of years. It times to just get on with my working life, move up in my career and hold on to something secure.

Wow I did it as much as I could and I think it always only helped me. Ironically people just missed me and realised how needed I am - that's probably because I had nice staff, they were always kind to me somehow. I'm lazy as hell, I'm not sick too often but I always avoided work as much as I could.

Now I don't have time to work

people at work call in sick all the time. if i worked with a bunch of people who never did it i wouldn't either which is why i waited so long, but fuck it. if they can do it i'm allowed to do it once a year.
