As for depression, there are cases of it being cured (I think it was Keco that brought it up), but I agree that for the most part, I think it's just treatable and many will find themselves falling into depression for a week, sometimes a month, but their quality of life is much greater than what they were going through.
I thought I said it's only treatable and not curable? If I didn't that's what I meant.

1. I hate iPods, iPhones & iPads with a passion, people who buy them, buy them because they are a fashion accessory, under the belief they are getting something "awesome", when infact, technologically, they are shit. However, I love Mac Books, Power Macs etc, possibly the greatest technology available for use in the Music/Video/Graphics industry.

2. I think people who take recreational drugs are idiots (I know this from personal experience), however I smoke weed everyday and won't refuse a line of coke.

3. I am addicted to Cola of any sort. Diet Coke is the best, followed by Pepsi Max.

4. People think I'm a playa, but this is far from the truth.

5. I love the Sea, and I could happily eat Fish/Shell fish every day. I also make the best Sushi made by a white man that you'll ever eat.

6. My step father is one of the lead developers at Microsoft, and he created major components in Windows 7 and IE8. Despite this, my parents are fucking tight wads and I have to beg them for money.

7. I want to be fed carrots by a certain Streethop member.

Yeah Keco, you did say that...
I dunno then who Sofi is talking about (maybe me? lol). That dirty Serb.

Anyways, lets get back to topic.

1. I love photography, I actually like it more than painted pieces of art.
2. Even though I hate roller coasters, I absolutely love water slides (even the super high ones)
3. I enjoy cooking for people. People have said I'm pretty good, but they probably just don't want to hurt my feelings
4. I'm currently a History Major, but I'm considering switching and doing a Public History Honours program
5. I have a Gladiator helmet similar from the one Russell Crowe wore. I shit you not, it was a gift lol. It's for decoration, but you can put it on your head (and I have wore it around the house a few times... :)2 )
6. I generally do not have a good relationship with my father, I haven't seen him in more than a year, even though I know where he is, and I hardly talk to him. The only thing we're able to talk about is soccer. So when I do talk to him, that's usually the first topic that is brought up.
7. I tan extremely quickly, but rarely burn. I'm out on a beach for half a day and I'm already dark all over.

MMMk....lets!
1. I LOVE art and paintings! I got in trouble at the Smithsonian for taking pix of the exhibits you're not supposed to take pix of. :X I was in there all day.
3. My bf is a history major. I think he wants to be a museum curator. He's going to Columbia in August. He prob won't be my bf anymore then :/
7. Same. I was in the sun for probably an hour each day this week and already have a tan.

3. I was thinking doing that also. Even though I prefer photography, I can always appreciate good art and I always loved historical artifacts, so it feels like a logical choice to work in a Museum or something in that domain. It's either that, or work in broadcasting, you know historical research for movies and shows to make sure they're authentic. That seems interesting too. Anyways, your bf is cool :thumb:

Yeah same here. I wouldn't want to say that I really dislike my father but I guess that's how it is. I can somehow relate to your situations though it's hard to talk with my father about anything at all as he instantly becomes moronic and I just leave.
He's a loner and lives in his own strange world.

1. I despise my body's need for sleep. If I didn't have to do it to not feel like a zombie, I wouldn't.

2. I'm an insomniac and largely nocturnal. Since I don't have to get up early to work, I regularly continue to work up until 4 or 5am, then go to sleep for 6 hours and then continue working.

3. I have ADD. Badly. To the point where I'll go to do something and get distracted on the way there and do something else. The smallest distraction can make me completely forget about something.

4. I first recall knowing (not just thinking, but knowing for a fact) that I would be a professional musician when I was about 4 years old. When teachers at my high school, and asshole kids, said things like "What are you going to do if it doesn't work out", or "You're never going to make it as a musician", it didn't even register on my radar, because I knew. I don't have it in me to question it, because it's not something separate from me as a person, it is me. The thought of it is nonsensical, like questioning my racial mix, my gender, or my species.

5. I had a very bad childhood and early teenage and I subconsciously repress nearly all of it to the point where I can't recall a lot of things. I've had a little bit of counselling but I fear having more because I'm scared of what I might remember under duress.

6. I can't relate racially to the vast majority of humans on the planet, because I'm mixed race. I literally have no concept of what's it like to not come from two different cultures that are vastly different to each other and to have to struggle to define where I fit in. But I'd never want to be just one race either, the way I see it, everyone's gonna be mixed race in the future so I have a head start :)

7. I want to be a songwriter for other artists and not just myself and my band, but I hold on to my work very tightly. It's even a little tough for me to hear my bandmates singing things I've written for THEM in the first place. I need to get over that, or perhaps branch out and have a separate writing style that maybe isn't so personal.

*BONUS 8*. I largely don't understand the appeal of sports from a spectator perspective, on that level where people let their success or failings of their favourite teams dictate their mood. I have certain family members, that if their team loses, you might as well not even bother trying to talk to them for the next day or two. I just completely fail to understand that. It doesn't seem logical to me to let an entirely random set of circumstances that you have no control over and has little to no importance on a grander scheme, dictate your mood that much. If people were gambling on every game, I'd understand that, but that generally isn't the case. I very rarely play sports because they just don't interest me. However, I played rugby for two terms in high school and became quite good. I ended up playing two actual matches against rival schools (one on home ground, and one away), but the whole time I couldn't shake the feeling that my time would be better spent doing something else, as I knew I had no intention of being any sort of professional player. So, I quit after that. Also, one time, we had a rugby lesson, and one of my closest friends who was standing probably 5 meters away from me, collapsed. The lesson was cancelled, he was rushed to hospital, and he died later that evening. I was one of 5 of his friends who read aloud at his funeral. Clearly, that incident would further dissuade me from sports.

^^sorry to hear about that friend of yours. what happened him?
He had a heart condition, a hole in his heart. I believe he had had surgery for it when he was a baby, but there hadn't been any reason for him to not partake in any physical activities or anything. He was only 13 when he died and he was the friendliest kid, never had a bad word to say about anyone.

I still get sad thinking about it. I actually don't know if he died right there in front of me, or later that night. I think he might have died right then and there on the spot but of course I don't know for sure and it wasn't something I felt like asking about. I remember some of the teachers doing CPR while the rest of us were taken back to school by the other teachers. Very depressing day.

I have a heart murmur and it's caused by a hole in my heart... I'v never listened to my doctors and I play sports constantly. "My heart don't pump no slushy."

I also have sports induced asthma and pretty bad allergies lol. The asthma isn't bad at all though, living at such a high altitude has helped me out in the long run I think. My twin sister has like nothing wrong with her, I'm like the retarded chicken wing or something lol, but not really

1. I wear wife-beaters (undershirts) most of the time, even in the summer. It's a habit from when I was young. If I don't wear one, I feel like my kidneys are exposed haha.
2. Most burned CD in my collection, mostly mixes, are not labeled. I like going through my CDs every couple of years and revisiting the songs I was listening to. Keeping it unlabeled feels like a pleasant surprise every time.
3. For a good period of my college career, I've rarely gotten 8 hours of sleep on a sober mind. During the week I get about 6 on average and on the weekend I catch up on sleep but always after a night of drinking. I feel that this type of lifestyle has clouded my state of mind and made me more moody and generally dissatisfied with things.
4. I hooked up with this girl about a month ago from my class and like five days later she hooked up with another guy from my class and we all hang out in a group of more friends quite a bit and it makes for a very interesting and awkward dynamic.
5. I bought a sick skinny tie from Express that I'm infatuated with.
6. In a small compartment/pocket in my northface backpack, I have two condoms, a pipe, a shot glass, and a cable to connect my Macbook to a projector.
7. When I was about 9 years old, my best friend at the time chipped my front tooth with a rock from a slingshot. I lied about it to my mom and said I fell and chipped it on the sidewalk. To this day, she doesn't know.

I think every little kid's chipped their tooth once or twice growing up. When I was 8 it happened. Chipped my front tooth running up the steps to my house. It was a brownstone walk-up in Brooklyn, and I really really had to pee. So I jumped out of my mother's car and ran as fast as I could to get into the house. I did make it to the bathroom, only with a full bloody mouth and a bit of a scar face. Oy vey, was terrible.
