I suggested this to Dante a few weeks back but I guess while his site is down he can't/won't do it, so I'll throw it out to the general public and see what y'all think.
I think the best thing we could possibly work on, rather an A-Z list of songs that are unreleased, would instead be this:
Create a sessions history, and try to find info on all songs recorded at different recording sessions, based on others that were there or who have remnants of evidence from studio time (which generally has to be booked, right?)
I know 2Pac was in the studio way more than any mainstream artist I can think of in 1996, to such a large degree that it's gone generally documented.
I'm also a huge Nirvana fan, and I've noticed they are one of the few mainstream artists out there that actually has all their studio time documented extremely well.

Question is, would any of the "connected" heads in here be willing to work on such a project? I don't want anyone to step up who then can't deliver with getting the information. I also don't need any credit for suggesting this idea, I just would love to see someone do it and get it out there. Someone may need to get in contact with Johnny J, QD3, any of the producers, others who were present at the sessions and have information/knowledge as to what was recorded, etc, but I think if this were done it could be a huge information asset to the community.
Well? Anyone think they could do this?
