Yeah. Gaddafi armed the IRA many a time.

I admit I can't help but admire Gaddafi. I don't agree with Terrorism and he has been involved in a lot of terrorist acts directly and indirectly in the last 30 years. But he is true to his beliefs, which I agree with a lot of them, just not his way of doing things.

Diouff really should have kept those comments to himself though. I can't believe that the loyalist Rangers fans can be very happy at all.

I know Schalke aren't doing that well in the league but this is woeful. No passion in the team, no-one is running, no-one is tackling. The way they played against Inter and Valencia was with no fear, but both Inter and Valencia missed a host of chances.

Raul has got no service at all.

i just cant believe they beat inter by that much.

but then they had that clown as their manager.

THats how bad Leonardo is as a coach. this team beat his team of world class players 5-2.

If Inter kept Rafa Benitez we would have Inter playing here tonight and giving Man Utd a tough game imo

I think thats harsh on Leonardo. Yes he isn't a good manager, but Inter have been poor throughout the Champions League. They were poor in the group stages, were battered by Bayern, and really it should be Bayern in the Semi Final. Though they're not that great either. This is the decline of many teams around Europe on show bar the English and the top two Spanish sides.

Yeah, Chelsea are shit...

How was Barca's any harder?

Panathinaikos, FC Copenhagen, Rubin Kazan, Arsenal..... Real Madrid

Only decent opposition was/is Real Madrid. And Schalke beat Inter Milan.

You can only beat what is put in front of you.

Bursaspor, Rangers, Valencia, Marseille, Chelsea, Schalke.

how does a team get a run like that to make a champions league final.

could you get any luckier.
Not sure if serious...but

Lol. Valencia are a decent side, Chelsea are a great side and will finish second in the league. But what would make their run harder? facing the Italians? Nope. Spurs? Arsenal? The team we beat consistently? Bayern? Nope. Shaktar? Who only turn up at home?

Fact is, Man Utd, Chelsea, Barcelona & Real Madrid are the only real tests in Europe. The rest can be beaten, look at what we did to AC Milan last year, and how Tottenham dominated them at the San Siro, the Italians are not awful but their still stuck in time and refuse to adapt to how football is now. They have the talent but they can't play against pace.

The German sides that were left in probably won't reach the Champions League next season. So who is actually a hard test for the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea and the Spaniards apart from each other?

but do you think that if Rafa was still Inter's coach at the time, they would have went down like that to Schalke 04?, given his record in Europe and the fact that he has proven himself to be an excellent tactician in the champions league

He probably would have done better, but Rafa is a great tactician and I respect his record in Europe but his tactics for Inter were odd. He played a high line with a slow defence and this was exposed in Serie A and Europe. He just couldn't work out a suitable formation or tactic for Inter especially as the previous manager had the players eating out of his palm and they did whatever he wanted.

Oh and this game right now is a snoozefest.
