Platini rings up Graeme Souness and says there is this french lad at Marseille who i think you should look at. extremely talented but also very tempermental. Souness replies i dont need a player like that.

His name was Eric Cantona.

true story.
What's your take on Cantona D?

well he was a very talented player and i never really had a problem with him back then. yea he played for them but you could only admire him at times when he did something spectacular. and obvioulsy i was sickened when i heard that about Souness turning down the chance to sign him. Souness was a really great player for Liverpool and people shouldnt forget that but as a manager he made so many terrible decisions that really knocked Liverpool down.

Yeah, same thing here. He played 10 games here in Montreal back in the 1970s.

I liked him as a player, but he's a nutcase as a person and a manager...

I'm always suspicious when players I love become managers, I don't want them to screw up... When it happens, I always start to hate them.

Inter. What happened after Jose left!? They look totally clueless.

Raul's pass for the second goal was very good. I expect to beat Schalke but Neuer will be a hard obstacle to get past.

He did say he will only leave Germany to go on holiday lolz.

I rather we got him over De Gea. Who is good but at 20 years of age he is a baby when it comes to goalkeeping.

^^well im not sure if id say he is the best just yet. there are a couple of really good keepers around.

Iker Casillas and Pepe Reina to name two.

but he is a really good keeper and if Reina leaves in summer i hope Liverpool get him as a replacement. he is a good shot stopper and his distribution is excellent. he is actually alot like Reina

Harshly sacking a good coach and replacing him with an utter dud was a big part of the problem.

Benitez was treated very poorly. he came to a club on a hangover after winning the everything last season. it was always going to be difficult to get the players motivated again. but i think given the time, he would have got them back on song. They certainly wouldnt have lost 7-3 to Schalke 04 if he was in charge. Also he got no money towards transfers at all. they needed to freshen things up a bit. Although im happy about that because they might have came after Kuyt but they could have taken Mascherano i guess. He would have went there if Inter made a bid for him i think./

Instead they appointed this clueless idiot Leonardo. an idiot of a player imo and an idiot of a manager. he was awful at AC Milan and then Inter go and appoint him. i was scratching my head at that one.

Rafa was struggling with them in the league, Leonardo got them back on track, however Leonardo lacks any tactical knowledge at Champions League level.

^^nah i wouldnt put that down to him. Inter were never going to give up their Serie A crown to their rivals without a fight. thats the reason for their improvement in the league. I reckon they would have came back and won it if they stuck with and backed Benitez.and one things for certain they wouldnt have been put out by Schalke 04 in that fashion with Benitez in charge. I dont care if you dislike the man but you cannot deny his record in the champions league.

Moratti is an asshole. Inter never won shit when Serie A was at a higher standard. their only successes in Europe came on the back of cheating (in the 60s. Inter cheated alot worse than Juventus ever did back then) and anti football.

he joined them but never played.

thats not the point im making though.

a large amount of the IRA's weapons came from Gaddafi and there were stong links there so i wondered how Diouf's comments went down with the Ranger's supporters.
