Hopefully none of you were exposed to it (at least best to your knowledge) but what is it like where you're at in terms of how its affecting your day-to-day or companies you work for?

Are you hyper-vigilant on washing your hands and not touching your face or are you just treating it like any other viral outbreak or sickness and just taking the usual precautions?

Are people around you being retarded about it?

I work in Haulage and we are sending out forms for any drivers collecting loads to fill in a risk form before even coming on site.

Our clients who produce gold are making money hand over fist. Most are struggling to get goods in/out of China, some have declared force majeure. Mixed times depending on the industry/sector you are in.

We are banned from traveling to certain countries (company policy). In the city, super markets are selling out of toilet paper, god knows why.

My dad was in Boston from Thursday to Sunday for a conference but it was cut short because the hotel next door was under quarantine. Someone that attended a conference in late-
February was just now diagnosed with the Coronavirus and so this conference was cancelled and everyone was sent home. So my dad was in Boston and back home in less than 24 hours lol

Once the dust settles, hopefully sooner rather than later, I wonder how the rest of the world looks at China after this. I get outbreaks like this happen but between the government's shitty response and the conspiracy theories that this was lab-engineered to be used as a bio-weapon, China's going to have this shit pinned on them pretty hard.

While I would not panic buy, I am left thinking that I will need my usual shop of toiletries, food etc and I don't want to be left without. This is where everyone as a combined entity becomes the problem through copycat behaviour.

Then there are the people who may be fine and survive the virus, but they will transmit it over to people who will unfortunately die from catching it.

ALDI shelves were empty on a Friday evening and Saturday morning they were replenishing stock. That is unheard of (apart from the time when the weather conditions were really adverse a couple of years ago).

Have people considered being more economical and reducing their wastage as opposed to bulk buying? Humans are selfish.

Having the time of my life. Working from home, catching up on video games, sleeping in and eating pizza/Uber Eats stuff. Best of all, I finally don't feel like I'm missing out on ANYTHING, and I'm doing everyone else a big service at that. My teenage years prepared me for this. It's amazing.

Coworkers asked me how do I cope with the isolation and now we're playing Diablo 3 together. Not only does it feel like high school again, those people appreciate it. A lot of companies are finally forced to catch up to tech progress and rid themselves of arbitrary restrictions and presenteeism like telephone has not been invented yet, or go out of business. Definitely some of the best times I've ever lived through.

I've been catching up on some TV series but I feel the screen time is unhealthy. I am now more inactive than when I go to work, meaning that I am missing out on my morning and lunchtime walks (~1 hour in total each day), plus no gym as they are closed. I should make the effort to stay active.

I would love to catch up on some games too but I should be using the time to study = more screen time.

Oh man, you and I both. I recently unearthed my 360 from the depths of storage at my parents house. It had not been switched on since about November of 2013. Downloaded the updates and started looking through my old games, mostly COD lol. I don't have Live and I was never interested in the story of the COD games so I looked online for new games to see how much they were used at GameStop.

With outstanding luck, I found out they were doing a B2G2 free deal, so I just got home with 4 games for $15 after tax. Now, these are old-as-fuck games but I also learned that the Xbox One and the X that's due out later this year will be backwards compatible and I may finally jump back in to gaming if I get my shit right.

So I got Devil May Cry 4, Sleeping Dogs, Dragon Age Origins, and GTA 4. Sleeping Dogs seemed interesting because it's from Square Enix and I've always loved their RPGs, especially Final Fantasy. I was about to get FF13 but I heard they had changed a lot of the battle system mechanics and it was poorly reviewed. But it's also like ten years old and every FF after 10 seems to look the same and manage to piss off old school fans of the series with its changes.

Anyway, DMC is a great series and I loved the hack and slash nature of it. Dragon Age I've heard great things about it and GTA is GTA and I haven't played it since San Andreas so I figured I'd get back in to it.

lol and D3! I didn't get as deep in to it as I did with D2 back in 08 when some college friends roped me in to it, but it was on sale a few BFs ago for all the expansion packs for $15 or something, so I got it. I still play the free DOTA a ton and it kept me away from getting in to D3 but I'll have to check it back out soon.

I heard good things about Mass Effect being one of the best RPGs for Xbox. Or just a great game overall. I'm just a simpleton, though. I love a good story but games with good stories usually have tricky puzzles or I get stuck anyhow and I give up on them lol. I stick to pick up and play games and I really wanted one of the Forzas but there weren't any at my store. Even in GTA4, I plan to just run around and do dumb shit and occasionally do the missions.

I logged in to Live and saw that Ray still plays his XBone a lot. I haven't talked to that dude in a while but he's still got the wacky profile bio on there about retard porn and being an idiot lol. I should reach out.
