We're coming up to the January transfer window and there are bound to be some big moves, but which of the summer transfers has been the best?
In England, big name transfers Ballack, Shevchenko, Tevez and Mascherano have all failed to impress. Benni McCarthy, Nicolas Anelka and Obafemi Martins have all done better, McCarthy scoring 5 times this season, Anelka 3 and Martins 4. Kanu, who moved to Portsmouth for free, is the Premiership's top goalscorer.
Personally, I think Harry Redknapp has probably been the most astute. Sol Campbell, Glen Johnson, David James and Kanu have all done really well. Everton's signings have done well too; Johnson and Lescott, and Howard on loan. Woodgate's done well at 'Boro.
Andre Ooijer might be the worst signing of the summer; scoring own goals, conceding penalties...he's had a torrid time. Mascherano and Tevez have been disappointing, Rosicky and Baptista too.
