I think each person has to know what they're willing to accept and deal with in a relationship. It's not harsh to write someone off because they have kids, it's that person's right to do so.
If Becky knows she doesn't want to be a mom anytime soon, should she:
A. date men with kids if they're hot and ignore the kids
B. not date men with kids
Why settle for something in a relationship? Rather its settling for someone with extra baggage (kids) or something else (compulsive liar).
I hate the idea of settling
Heya Flip,
That's not what I meant. i'm sorry I wasn't completely clear b/c I was also joking around.
Someone with a child should DEFINITELY make a full effort to take care of that child, regardless of if it causes debt, etc. That should be done and should also be commended.
What I was saying in that post is if a man is holding a kid it is a turn off instead of a turn on for me. I am not ready to think about children at this point in my life. So, a man with a child reminds of me of other negative things such as bad credit or lots of debt, etc. These are other things I would find unattractive in a potential significant other to hold a long term relationship with.
Does that make more sense?
