Apparently the girl was almost 16 when some guy drugged her and had sex with her and the Florida legal system will not prosectue because 15.8 is close enough to 16? Im sure there is more to it, anybody heard about this case?

Who cares about age? It's still illegal to drug someone and fuck their unconscious body.

Weird stuff. But I bet once it's given some publicity the prosecutors are suddenly more cooperative.

Teen alleging rape turns to YouTube - CNN.com
Orange County authorities charged the 23-year-old man Crystal accused of assaulting her with lewd or lascivious battery. According to court documents, Crystal and the man both said they had an ongoing sexual relationship.

The prosecutor, who declined to comment to CNN, concluded that the teen and the 23-year-old had consensual sex, according to the case file.

Florida law states that a 15-year-old cannot give consent to sex. And though Crystal was 15 at the time of the alleged forced encounter, the prosecutor wrote that the case would not be prosecuted because Crystal was "a mere 1 month away" from turning 16, when it would be "legal to give consent," according to documents.

well the case is for 2nd degree felony charges of sex with a person under 16. nothing in there said anything about charges of drugging a person or imprisonment type charges. so, either there was no evidence to charge the accused or the victim never pressed charges. then again this is from the public online database and it is more than obvious to me that there is a lot that is left out from Florida's public online records.

^Yea they weren't even arguing that it was rape...they were arguing whether she was old enough to consent to sex.
