I remember playing Lemmings on an Acorn at school. I was awesome.
haha yes I had that game aswell, this lad at our school had one at home and copied all his games and gave them out at school, and the teachers didn't mind letting us play them during lunchtime. I also remember some other games, educational ones though, I can't remember the names, there was 2 were you could talk to a character in history and they would pretty much answer anything you type. It was funny one time, you can give them instructions and i told him to go into this building, it turned out to be a printing factory where they were printing real dollars, i asked him what was in the room and he mentioned blank printing paper, i told him to steal it but he refused :(.

There were a couple of others, another time travel one but you play as a character exploring and one with some animals and shit, all i can remember is there was a badger in the game.

I also learnt Basic for the Acorn at Secondary School, make some great stuff, I even learnt how to fuck an Acorn up with
a corrupt sprite file :D

I tried a couple of emulators but they were shit so I'm gonna go buy one of the new ones;

They still make the Acorn but they make one called IYONIX aswell which I'm gonna get, its still runs RiscOs.

amiga, the old computers before the ibm and windows. they were part of a classic era. that's how streethop would look browsing it on an amiga.
Also had the first incarnation of championship manager back in 1991. It was awesome. They couldn't get the players real names back then, but had a version where you could go back and play as the old 60's teams. I was united of course, with George Best.

It then became Championship Manager 2. Champ man 93. and is now FM2008. I loved that game and as a teenager played 48 to 72 hour sessions with 5 of us shut in a 8foot by 8 foot room. Now I still manage to play 5 hour sessions, and catch my same mates from 15 years ago online. Sweet.

Amiga ruled. Sensible Soccer was awesome too.

lol i didnt get a computer untill 95'. we used to be pore ma fuckers
i never owned an amiga, but my next door cousin had one.

i got one around 95 as well. well i got it for christmas, but it wasn't actually for me. my parents bought a pc for the family, but it was "mostly for me" lol. i remember that's what it said on the christmas card. they made a reality puzzle game where i had to run around the house finding clues and shit until i finally found the computer.

stupid fucking kids. had i done it right, i would just have opened every door. i ran past the room it was in like two times before i came to the final clue. i remember that the computer cost around $4000.
