..Since today.
A liberal party finally won in a democratic general election and they'll form a new government.

Still we have a sucky sucky lame president (I can go to jail for saying that) so he'll fuck things up a bit but I'm glad that there's good change (hopefully good) in my country.

We could insult our president from just a couple of feets away and get away. It was with last president though, I don't know about current president lol.

Anyway, last week or so here in Green Point is a huge Polish community, was a big parade. I don't know what they were celebrating but I ask this lady in barbershop and she mumbled something like pulaski or something lol. People were going nuts showing off their Polish flags and cars honking and shit. Cars running off the red lights and all type a wild shit. I was with my car too and I said fuck it, I'll jump in the party as well lol so I too started honking and going wild lol. I first thought it was sporting event related parade. But I follow sports and know there was nothing recently they could have won to cause this big of a deal lol. So it must have been political parade or something. It was a crazy shit. There were like 15-20 cars with all Polish flags wrapped around them and they would all go at the same time. So they would all gather at this gas station and once everybody was there, they would all take off.

So masta, maybe you can tell me what the parade was about?

I'd gladly substitute the right to call Bush an idiot online for the gov't to pay my chiropractic bill, or my college tuition.

Well, maybe the liberal party will help change that, masta.
I hope so, I don't like their leader much but I hope it'll get better. In last few years our economy was so slow that other "worse" countries like Czech republic and Slovakia had much much bigger grow.

Whats the new presidents name? That little short actor twin dude is gone? He was funny.
There's still the same president and he's the short funny dude.
We had Kaczynski twins in the government - Lech is a president and Jaroslaw was a prime minister. Crazy isn't it?
Now our ruling party had changed, prime minister changed and all other ministers also are replaced but we'll still have to suffer from our president for 3 more years.

Most probably Polish people in the states had their election.
Is there Polish embassy any close?
Or maybe one of our politics visited America.
I'm not sure, results were announced yesterday.

No thats not it and I don't know if Polish embassy is close.

I looked it up about this guy pulaski. You're Pole don't you suppose to know this man? lol. In wikipedia it says Pulaski,a Polish military commander and American Revolutionary War hero. Died October 11 and I think this was the date I was there at the parade. So maybe people were celebrating his anniversary or something.

Apparently they do in the states. Thats interesting you say that. People are more aware of his impact outside of his country than in Poland itself. Most probably because he was an American Revolutionary War hero.

Yeah probably they do that because they feel like he was a Pole living in the States like they do now.

We do celebrate many things here tho but nobody celebrates his life, he's one of out bigger historical figures tho.

Are you saying you can insult the president in America and get away with that?
ya, freedom of speech... the people = the president... we can overthrow him he we really wanted to... thats the beauty of America... we choose him and we can lose him... democrats + republicans = democracy = 1+(-1) = 0... it all evens out...
