I'm giving a guest lecture about Tupac at University of Central England (UCE).

Here's the scoop:

There was an article on me and my Tupac documentary in The Guardian, around the time it aired. For those who don't know, The Guardian is a famous national newspaper here in the UK. I haven't seen that particular article, but supposedly they gave it a glowing review and praised me as a knowledgable and enthusiastic host.

Anyway, a professor at UCE saw the article, listened to the documentary and loved it. He is a professor who teaches Media, in particular, documentaries.

Fast forward to March and I've recieved a message from him on MySpace. Some of you might remember that we set up a special MySpace page just for the documentary. I hadn't checked that account for around a month as the message was dated sometime in February.

Anyway, he's asked me to give a guest lecture about Tupac and the documentary to his second year students at the Uni. Met up with him yesterday for a few beers and he's a very cool guy, we talked Tupac, Documentaries, David Bowie, Prince, politics and generally had a good conversation.

I've agreed to do the lecture two weeks from today and next week he is setting his students the homework of listening to the documentary, and then in the class we will be playing parts of it, then I will talk about those parts of the documentary and how we made it, and the students will be asking me questions on it, etc.

I imagine that Universities are strict on their security so I don't know what the score is for other people coming to sit in on the lecture, but if there's anyone here from Birmingham that might want to come, let me know and I will find out if it's possible.

Peace

Is there anywhere I can see that documentary mate? I've not seen it. yeah good luck with it man. All the best.
It was a radio documentary bro. I actually need to forward the MP3's to the Professor so that he can give it to the class to listen to prior to me giving the lecture, so I'll up them later (it's in 2 parts, 1 hour each), so I can provide you with the link if you want.

thanks big nasty
