Well, since I recommended and posted the link to Klean Kanteen earlier in this thread, it probably means I use it. Anything you want to know about it? Other companies make similar bottles. As long as it's steel and not too thin, it will be good. Can't hold hot water, though, the steel gets too hot to hold. And does anyone ever wonder if Styrofoam cups are safe? Almost everyone who works somewhere uses them for coffee or tea on a daily basis. That's hot water added to what? The chemical styrene/polystyrene, which does leach out when exposed to heat. There's no long-term studies on people, of course, but it has been found to damage human cells to the point of causing cancer. California is trying to get it banned. So, no, it's not safe. The lids also have polystyrene in them, as do the foam take-out containers. So no hot-food in them.
