I'm going there September for a couple weeks. It's been a while since last time I was there. I'm staying at the MGM. I thought I'd hear stories on what others did and where they ate/drank and etc. When's the next time you're looking to go out there?

Carmz/Flippy - when are you ladies plan on going out there? :D

I was hoping to rent a jet ski or two and go to Lake Mead for a day while I'm out there...has anyone gone to the lake and done the water activities?
most likely 1st week of august. so sometime soon. i still haven't booked my trip. should be doing that next week.

Carm - lemme know how it goes, or the hotel you're staying at, or whatever may seem awesome enough to get really fucked at. Could use the info for future references.

Kthxbye.

Anyone been there recently (or at all)? Any stories? Pictures? Anything?
Where'd you stay? What'd you do?
I went with my family two Novembers ago. I was 20, so no drinking. And I was with my family.

I have pictures of various things. We didn't make our way to the Strip as we didn't have a car there. We stayed at the Bellagio and I have video of the fountains somewhere....

We took chopper to the Grand Canyon. It took us into the canyon, dropped us off and we walked around. Did some walking around and saw some neat places. then flew back to Vegas. It was about a 45 minute ride and it took us the whole day there. Probably one of the best tours ever.

We saw some shows. The Criss Angel one was neat and the Phantom of the Opera is a must-see. My parents didn't gamble much either. They played some slots and won $5.

Most of the people I know that are my age are going to Vegas now, since they're 21. I may have to go again in a year or two with friends to really enjoy the gambling aspect of it. Otherwise, it was a pretty neat place.

The strip was nice! Played some poker at Caesar's Palace & at the Bellagio. I didn't party much although we did meet up with my cousin's husband on one of the nights we stayed there and had a couple of drinks. Since we got there Saturday night and left Thursday night, we didn't catch any big weekend parties. The only one that I wanted to go but missed was the Rehab Sunday pool party at our hotel (Hard Rock) and we missed it cause it was raining that day. I stayed 5 days and for me it was more than enough. I saw Mystere from Cirque du Soleil. It was good. Next time I go I wanna see O, apparently it's amazing. As for shopping, the Premium North outlets are a MUST. I spent a whole day there and dug a whole in my wallet. I also visited the Madame Tussaud wax museum.

I visited most of the big hotels on the strip. I didn't do the southern part of the strip (New York New York hotel, Excalibur, Luxor, MGM). Mostly cause they are old and bit outdated compared to hotels such as the Venetian, Wynn, The Mirage, Treasure Island, etc. I didn't visit the old strip (Fremont street) cause apparently everything is closed except for the Golden Nuggets.

The only thing I regret not seeing is the Grand Canyon. I'll do it next time. I won't lie I didn't want to pay the price and spend the time going there on my short 5-day trip. I kinda regret that now. Could have spent less time on the strip.

I definitely wanna go to Vegas again, just not so sure I'd go back with my bf. It was nice going on vacation with him, but I would have done much more drinking & partying without him that's for sure. And that must be likewise for him too.

Ps the food sucks in Vegas. Except for the restaurant Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Las Vegas hotel. The Italian food sucked, the French cuisine sucked, and not one day was my breakfast remotely good. And no wonder Americans are fat, omg your food is so fattening.

I think they're some good restaurants there. I never found them, but some of the foodies ffrom work talk highly of several places I forget the names of.

This made me laugh out loud for some reason.

But thanks for some feedback, looking into Vegas myself.

Is it worth to make a hotel reservation in advance when you're coming to Vegas not on a weekend (let's say Monday)? Where can you get better offers: online in advance or right when you arrive to Vegas?
