a new low for religion

Religion has also been twisted and used as a political tool as well. Many of these so called religious wars of the past have had strong political and economical undertones; leaders and warmongers had to gain support somehow right? What better way than to tell the uneducated and superstitious peasantry that it's the will of a God or the right of a certain religion. I'm not religious in any way or form, but any set of tools or information can be used for bad or good, whether it is of the spiritual nature, political or scientific. I worry more about the man wielding the information than the information itself.

That being said, fuck extremists.

People of true Faith are supposed to believe that 'God' will solve the gay person's problem though.

This makes no sense....and is stupid.

Just like people killing someone on the street, getting arrested in a car, and the cop blaming it on a rapper like Eminem bc the suspect was listening to him.

Religions are memes from the spaces between synapses to nudge horny, bloodthirsty powerful apes away from pursuing their absolute short-term self-interest in favor of the tribe. One ape killing the other for exhibiting tendencies against reproduction even though it means one less competitor for pussy is a very religious thing to do.

But seriously, calling this guy a "religious leader" is silly. I see these Black Hebrews all the time. They yell through megaphones and call every non-white woman showing a little leg a whore. This dude took that and ran his pimp game through it with success three times over, apparently.

To indict religion on this count is moronic. Come on streethop, you're better than that. If an isolated, psychopathic atheist happened to kill someone for disobeying his particular set of moral standards, would you call that "a new low for atheism?"

No, this post is moronic.

Atheism is not a belief. It is a lack of a belief. Nobody makes personal choices or actions through a lack of a belief.

It's like saying "bald" is a hairstyle. If I'm a chef, and I bring you out a plate with nothing on it, is that therefore a type of food?

Agree to disagree. The important thing is that you never speak ill of a bald man again.

Bald isn't a hairstyle, it's a brotherhood, and for me to let you slide on your bald insults would be against bald code. So now I have to kill you.:)

Again? I never spoke ill of it in the first place. I just said it's not a hairstyle. Which you agreed with. There was no insult, just a fact stated.

I mean, if you WANT a bald insult, I'm sure I could come up with 1... or 2... or 10. :D
