Tell Me About Yourself.

We sort of know each other here on TupacBoard. We know who posts thoughtfully and who is annoying. But we don't really know the people whose words we read regularly. I would like that to change, to make it a bit more personal.

Thus, the criteria for this thread: in a paragraph or less, tell me about yourself. Try not to inflate your accomplishments or lack thereof; simply tell us where you come from and what you're about. And it can't be long. Nobody likes long posts. I'll start:

I'm the youngest of four in an Irish-Catholic family, though I am an avowed atheist (Who cares? I don't. I don't care about your religion or lack of it, unless you are a Muslim, in which case I think you should probably be vocal on the whole martyrdom thing.) I believe that people who become Republicans become so because they are rich, ignorant, or young. My older brother is a New York City police officer, and I am very proud of him. My hero is Robert Downey Jr. (Isn't that weird?) I'm an aspiring writer and I've written 17 short stories. I'm working on a novel. I have a wife and a three-month-old baby girl. I drink more than I should. There are songs on Morrissey's first solo album, Viva Hate, that I cannot listen to without becoming uncomfortably emotional.

im the oldest of 2 kids. i come from a good family, both parents work although they probably do not need to anymore. i was a loser for the first 15 years of my life, as in i didnt have many friends. for some reason i became not a loser. i like to drink, although not as much as i used to. i currently work 2 jobs, doing around 14 hours a day all up. i dont care about other peoples suffering, even being amused by it at times.

Me 21, apprentice carpenter, hopefully soon to be a police officer and eventually S.O.G (Australian S.W.A.T) I hate spoiled kids. I wouldn't say I had a hard up bringing, but when I look at how some of my friends have had it growing up I realize I went without. I am extremely self motivated. Don't have an addictive personality. Can get along with just about anyone. Can pick up easily but find it hard to commit. Can drink more jello shots than Rukas.

id say you had a pretty hard life. def wasnt easy. you come out well though, many people would bitch and moan and use it as an excuse as to why they are going nowhere in life.

I'm the youngest of 2 kids, and I am of Croatian descent and from a working class family that pretty much grew up during constant wars. We didn't have much when we were younger, so my mother, brother and I lived with my grandparents. Despite not having much, I think it was the best of times when I think of it. Also, I believe because of my upbringing I'm generally very happy with simple things. That's not to say that I don't like nice things, but when everyone is looking to drive a Porsche, I'm happy with a VW, for example. I don't see much of my father, and when I do - it's weird. I don't have a relationship with him. I considered my grandfather my only real father figure, and he has very big shoes to fill. I'm currently a History Major, looking to transfer into the Public History Honours program by 2011. Most people are thrown off that I'm in such a program since everyone seems to be running to Business and Marketing programs, but I tend to believe that if I'm interested in the topic I'm working on - I'm more likely to excel than in something I hold no passion for.

I'm the oldest of 5. I dont have any accomplishments worth mentioning. Eating is a major event in my life and not just for sustenance. I don't know how I'm not 1000lbs. If I don't finish a book in 1 day the odds of me ever finishing it diminish with each passing day.

I'm the youngest of three and grew up in Milwaukee with a single parent. I stopped seeing my father when I was 7 until I was about 15, and continue to see him about twice a year. I'm a senior at the University of Wisconsin and plan on starting law school in Los Angeles next Fall for Sports and Entertainmet Law. I went on a massive health binge this past January and still work out 5-6 times a week. I thoroughly enjoy drinking, as I go to one of the largest party schools in the country, but try to limit myself to once a week. It's hard to describe yourself, in one paragraph, over the internet, to strangers (especially when there are archetypes before you).

I'm 21 years old, and come from pretty well off family. I've never had to struggle to survive, have basically had everything I needed handed to me (hey you take what you can get right?). I'm doing a B.Sc in geology, I've been on the deans honour list since I transferred into the faculty, actually been on the honour roll ever since I've been in university which is really funny since I graduated high school with a 60% average. I think it shows how much giving a fuck makes a difference. I'm extremely good at math and spent the summer working in a geo chem lab. I've done every drug I can think of besides the big 3, I have a very addictive personality but am lucky enough to have the will power to know when to quit or at least slow down the addictions that are bad. When I drink, I drink heavily and I don't think I could ever stop drinking. I also don't think I could ever quit cocaine, what I mean by that is, I haven't done any for eight months and don't plan to do any in the future but if you put a tray of lines infront of me I don't know that I could say no. I fucking hate winter which is ironic since I live in one of the most extreme climates on this Earth. Rock is my favourite type of music. I don't care about hip hop anymore. Rage Against the Machine is my favourite band. Survivour is my favourite show. Edouble is the best poster on here, period. I have a younger brother who I have a very hard time communicating with. I have two step brothers, one is lazy as fuck and that pisses me off like nothing else because it is such a waste. The other is autistic/the doctors dont know how to diagnose him and he is one of my favourite humans on this earth. I'm mediocre at picking up. I have a ginge beard.
