This was posted on another forum I visit.
It's a general music forum, and unlike hip-hop forums (which are almost always dominated by young, straight men, because hip-hop as a culture is largely both misogynistic and homophobic) has an equal amount of members from all parts of society.
By that I mean there are straight guys, gay guys, straight women, gay women, of all races, ages and backgrounds that post there. There's no discrimination of any kind there and compared to here (aside from maybe 15-20 people who I have a lot of respect for), the intelligence and maturity level is very high.
The person who posted this is a very truthful, no-hold-barred openly gay person who tells it like it is. And you'd probably all be VERY surprised at the things he says, especially when it comes to the music world and hip-hop.
Basically, the overly masculine guys, the muscular guys, the thugs, the guys that go out of the way to act "hard" - these are the ones engaging in the most gay activities. Which makes sense when you think about the fact that they obsess so much over their perceived "masculinity". If you weren't necessarily 100% comfortable with your sexuality, and furthermore were part of a culture that looks down on it, you'd try and act as tough as possible.
Anyway, this is just one thing on the subject out of many things this particular person has said in the past.
For the record, all of those comments were made in a thread about how Ray J (Brandy's brother) was supposedly one of these type of guys. Redman was another name mentioned, which I've heard about on a number of occasions.

Yeah but I'm just saying, Redman and Busta Rhymes never struck me as some homophobic, archetype heterosexuals. They seem eccentric and not really on the typical macho tip. Redman and Busta Rhymes don't fall into the "gangsta" rap category. Anyway, I'm just not too keen on the statement thrown around in these homosexuality debates which too often says that those who are the most homophobic are homosexual themselves. The theme has been explored in literature and film but I don't particularly believe in its validity. And when these closet homosexuals like Redman and Busta Rhymes get named, that doesn't really support the argument because they're not at the forefront of misogynistic, homophobic gangsta rap. Not that it matters, really, just saying. Now if Eminem were gay, a rapper with an abundance of homophobic lyrics, then that would be on some WTF SHIT.

^^Well Busta Rhymes did flip out because some gay dude tapped his shoulder and asked him for an autograph. He said he didnt like fags touching him or something like that.
and Casey you shouldnt just assume that Redman and Ray J are gay just because you have heard rumours or what someone told you. People who hate and have beef with those guys could have put that out there to damage their reputation or get at them. Just look at how Benzino tried to damage Eminem by making bullshit about him being gay.
