Quirks / Weird Things

It bothers me when my girlfriend doesn't face me when she sleeps next to me. She refuses to ever face in my direction because she says she doesn't like being breathed on. I've always thought this was normal but she was telling a co-worker who is a mutual friend and this guy told me it was really weird.

Is it really?

I don't know. I just don't like it when she's not facing my direction. I don't want to feel like I'm by myself when there's someone right next to me. If I want to feel by myself, I'll just sleep by myself in the bed.

Thoughts?

^LMFAO.

It really bothers me when someone tells me to face a certain way when I'm trying to sleep.

I'm trying to fucking sleep for fucks sake.

Right before I sleep, I don't minding facing my wife/gf or whatever, but when I am asleep, let me be. While I am asleep, I always switch sides and etc, just like any normal person.

Euph, do you mean before you guys are asleep, she doesn't want to face you?

And in other news, how's things going with her?

you should turn around and let her face your back... then let rip in her face..

Anyway, I dont think this is weired.. if thats really how she feels..

I wouldnt read too much into it.. if you over analyse, it will just lead to tension and sleepless nights..

I used to sleep facing away from my bf... Not bc the breathing thing but bc I sleep with my knees up (fetal position) and its uncomfortable to sleep like that facing someone else. But seriously when youre sleeping your breathing is really shallow so its not like youre blowing on her face.

I sleep whatever side, face-2-face or back turned. If a girl freaked out cause I had my back turned to her while I slept, I'd kick her out of my bed, and let my dog or cat sleep in the bed with me instead.

Fickle mother fuckers.

I also dislike girls breathing into my face thing and it's not about the smell of their breath. It's hard to explain I guess.

^^^ What if she slept with her ass on the pillow and you turned around, face in her ass? Would that be better?

My quirk is that I can go postal whenever little faggots whine too much about sleeping this way or the other, with breathing or without breathing.

yeah. i mean, like the second she gets in bed, she turns away from me and remains that way the whole night. i don't know, it just bothers me.

Ummm well we're taking a break right now due to issues (lol bigger issues than this one) but we're working on things and everything is going pretty well.

I could see how that bothers you, but you think it might be that she's self conscious of her breath or something else maybe? Or you know what, maybe she doesn't like it when someone looks at her while she's asleep.

You ever wake up and someones looking at you? That shits just plain weird, freaks you out. Maybe she doesn't want that. Or like she doesn't feel comfortable when someone is (possibly according to her) looking at her while she sleeps. Maybe she drools.

What is making you guys take a break?
How long have you guys been together? (I don't remember)

yeah it could be something else, i'm not sure. umm we had a really big issue where she has a male best friend (a friend that she never dated but slept with as recently as a month before we dated). When we starting dating, they remained very close and I was uncomfortable with that since I knew he liked her very much and they had did stuff so recently. I told her that I wasn't asking her to give up her best male friend, but since she was with me, there would have to be certain boundaries. Basically, I didn't want them hanging out together.

She took it as me being controlling and telling her who she could and couldn't hang out with. It turned into a massive issue and we ended up breaking up over it. I did some thinking and agreed that I didn't mind if they talked at work (they work together) and even if they wanted to go to the gym together, I could deal with that. But she wouldn't compromise so I thought it was over.

To my surprise, she confronted me a few days later and told me she had been thinking about things and that I was right. We agreed that they could go to the gym and if she was hanging out with a group of people and he happened to be among that group, that was okay too. But that's it.

So we agreed to go on a break (this was 2 weeks ago). She said she wanted to be with me but didn't want to rush back into it. She wanted to talk to this kid and tell him that she valued him as a friend, but nothing more. I agreed that this was the best decision as well. As recently as last week, she told this kid that she wasn't interested in him. That she valued his friendship, but wasn't looking for anything more than that.

Well, this kid flipped the fuck out. He basically told her he loves her. They had a huge fight and he refuses to talk to her. Naturally, she feels like absolute shit because she feels like she lost one of her best friends. I understand how she feels, but I told her she was honest and that she had made the right decision. As of right now, I'm giving her time to sort this whole thing out. She doesn't want to rush back into anything with me until things are back on track.

That's where we're at now.

it is harder to cuddle up to someone when both facing the same direction.

cuddling up to that certain someone when both facing each other is best when she has her head against my shoulder or chest, so as to feel her breath on my skin and smell the scent of her hair at the same time sends me straight to sleep
