True story. A girl at work once invited me to her Jehovah's Witness church. She was going to read something special that night. So I thought, what the heck, I'm curious and she was cute. Well, I drive into the parking lot just before service and someone comes up to the car and says, "you can't park here, it's for ppl attending the service." I'm like, "that's me." They look shocked. I walk in the door and all the ppl there have a stunned look on their faces, like they can't believe an outsider actually came.
It's ironic. They do all they can to get you interested, even coming to your house, but when you come to their house, you're made to feel as unwelcome as possible. It's like they thought I came to bomb the place. I even wore my Jesus mask with the chattering teeth (no). Eventually, the girl I came for took me under her wing and they eventually relaxed. But the whole thing felt like some kind of secret coven where outsiders are hardly welcome.
After the service, I planted the bombs and left.
