Come on, man... Pac was a potty mouth. Also consider the fact that Pac's outros weren't usually written, and he would just keep talking as the instrumental kept running, and sure enough I'm sure Pac would drop a "fuck" here and a "nigga" there just because it flowed out of his mouth, even on soft songs. He even let a few cuss words slip out at his televised SNL performance, a couple of which got blanked out and a couple of which slipped past SNL's attention.

Yeah, that's true. I don't really remember Pac cussin on SNL. I guess I need to go find tha video now.

funny how amaru couldn't get the og but other people they look down on can, isn't it?

Dante you're a lot more to the point these days. Angry infact. I'm definately liking it. :thumb:

Amaru don't know what they could have if they improved relations with the true fans. If they had people like yourself onboard Pac's legacy would stil be worthy of his life. The album would sell more and site's like this, and yours would benefit also.

Instead we have material that is more worthy of rappers like Bizarre or JD.

yeah i wasn't trying to rag on your or anything.

the pac wrote it for hammer story has been around for years, and hammer actually states it in his album cover. after stopping to think about it, i'm now confident he's full of it.
dante, which album does he say this in? i thought his version was unreleased.

hammer actually has two unreleased albums that the song appears on. one never made it to press, the other did but was pulled before it ever hit the shelves. the latter was called "a family affair," in which hammer states that the song was written for him.

I started reading this thread, and actully listening to the song at the moment, and I was confused at first - because there is now way the content of the song can be written for hammer or anyone else for that matter.

"I knew one day I gotta be a star
My hopes and all my wishes
So many vivid pictures, and all the currency
I'll never even get to see
This fast life soon shatter us
Cause after all the lights and screams
Nothing but my dreams matter
Hoping for better days
Maybe a peaceful night, baby don't cry"

this aint for hammer

Could say that bout the whole song

Driven by my ambitions, desire higher positions
So I proceed to make Gs, eternally in my mission
Is to be more than just a rap musician
The elevation of today's generation
If could make 'em listen

How could Hammer ever be "The elevation of today's generation"?

For one, listen to the live performance of I Ain't Mad at Cha:
"I can see us, afterschool we'd bomb
On the first jealous suckas with the wrong SHIT on"
I'll have to give it another listen to remember the other parts.

Come to think of it, I do remember a part where I heard Pac cuss and I was pretty surprised because it was live on TV.

Keep in mind that this SNL performance occured not much longer after All Eyez on Me dropped. Pac might not have recorded or even written the radio version of I Ain't Mad at Cha at that point in time.
