Fashion has it's importance depending on your position of power. You wouldn't dress like an utter slob if you were a CEO of a major corporation now would you? Like it or not, this is a superficial world and you will be judged by the way you look.
Now as for those cum guzzling camels, well, they're just kids enjoying themselves at a club, trying impress ladies. Nothing wrong with trying to look good and clean, but like Carmi said; there is being fashionable, and trying to be fashionable.

Even as a CEO you can't dress how the fuck you when you go to work, you have to still look clean and sophisticated.
You wouldn't be taken serious if you'd walk around your office in a Yankees tee and bermuda shorts, but what I meant by my original post was at parties, in front of clients, etc. Events where it is very important, you know?

And that's the problem. Clothes are for 1) protection from your surroundings 2) hiding your goods. Just people making things a lot more complicated than they really are. I get trying to dress up so you can attract women but I'd like to meet women who that doesn't work on. Which is why I'll die alone.
Look at the brains on Dani... what you are saying is right; you can determine how you want your employees to dress, but that doesn't mean you follow it yourself. Believe me, I've seen it, it's quite entertaining seeing an office of people wearing dirty sneakers and seeing a man with a 3000$ Hugo Boss suit pass by. lol.

I don't know if it's just me but I don't care at all about clothes unless someone's dressed gay or dirty.
When I see someone dressed in a 10k suit it doesn't impress me at all. If someone's a CEO or works in an office he can dress in whatever he wants to and it wouldn't change a thing. In my opinion, like Chronic said, clothes are for covering your body and it's irritating how some people made it into something bigger. I like to dress well myself but that's mostly because I want to "fit in" the environment, look clean and feel comfortable. Sure I feel well in a nice suit but that's what the society made me do, after a while I realise how stupid it is. Also if it comes to respect - I have no idea how some people link clothes to how respected you are but definately you'll get the same respect from me, no matter how dressed you are. Of course I like people to be clean but if you dress nice in a cheap shop or wear branded clothes - I wouldn't care. Some people like expensive clothes and feel better in them and that's okay, but that doesn't change a thing for me untill they act the same.

I'm sorry but you can't just say 'clothes are made for covering your body' and wear something funny like begging pants in a graduation party because it makes you fell comfortable or something. This seems to be the general mentality in Poland and one of the things I really hate about the country. When I am in Warsaw people dress like total shit and I have to almost downgrade my wardrobe to fit in, I hate being seen as a tourist. Its like most people just wear cheap shit from the market.

I agree. If I owned a company that was based in an office I would enforce a strict dress code, it is a respect thing. Plus, if you wear shorts and a T and feel relaxed, productivity will go down.

Well one day I went to my dads work with him and we get in the elevator and some dude pulls out a cig and starts smoking as we get out so my dad says to him "you know theres no smoking in here, right?" and dude responds "I own this building, if I wanna smoke in here I will." Its kinda like that.

I don't agree. It doesnt matter how good you are, performance has nothing to do with fashion. It's like saying that Jordan could have worn boxer shorts on the court if he wanted to because he was "infinitely better" than everyone else.

Yea I see time after time girls wearing something like mini skirts going to church. It really pisses me off and make me wonder what the hell their boyfriends are thinking. This is one place and one of those things that no matter how sexy you think you are or no matter how much you feel you need to be seen, you shouldn't wear slutty at church because you are disrespecting yourself but most importantly the church.
