would 2pac have joined death row even if he didnt go to jail?

#2
Although Tupac had stated that hed been approached by Suge before he went to jail and was already friends with many on Death Row, I dont remember him ever sayin that he wouldve joined them even if he didnt go to jail.
I think we all know that the circumstances under which Tupac signed to Death Row werent the best, but who knows...if he did mention it, Ive never known of it

Nope, he never wanted to go caus he knew all things going on @ Death Row and he didn't want that. You can also see the change 2pac made when he went to Death Row caus his raps changed and his image. He started to really flash with cars, jewelry etc. which he didn't be4 Death Row. Death Row made him like that, but it did him good caus without Death Row i think it would've taken more years for 2pac to be a platinum artist like he was on Death Row. I think he still wouldn't have signed with Death Row.

Pac was always decked out in jewels even before Death Row dayz, (why he got robbed for his jewels/etc in New York) he just emphasized it more once on Death Row. and became more arrogant while on D.R.

While he was locked down, he was mad at Biggie not only for possibly setting him up, but for trying to live his lifestyle (mafia lifestyle, champaigne, jewelry, etc). Pac said he exposed Biggie to that lifestyle and Biggie tried to copy it.

So, i think Pac always had a thing for jewelry/armani, etc. He just had so much more to him, that he didn't need to talk about it as much.

But to the thread question: I don't think Pac would have joined Death Row if not going to jail, he probably would have stayed on Interscope, then retire/concentrate on acting more. Maybe help people like Outlawz, etc but keep a limited role in the music business.

Didn't deathrow offer some sought of offer to 2pac in 94 or there abouts and he declined it?. I doubt he would of signed with the row if it wasn't for the situation he was in.

I think yes, because of his 95' shot ... This was the best way 2 hit back ... I think ...
Other lebels will never release songs like Hit 'em Up, etc. ...

Watch Thug Angle and Mopreme gives you the answer.

Mopreme says, just like someone else in this thread, that Suge approached Pac in 94 to join Death Row, it was right after Suge asked Pac to do some songs for Snoop's "Murder Was The Case" movie. Pac said he got $5,000 a song and it was "the most I had ever gotten for a song". Mo said that before Pac signed with Suge, he and Pac had "some long talks" and Pac told Mo that he "had to do it because it was his only way out".

do u think suge keept pac under control ???
I don't think Suge kept 2Pac under control, but I was saying that those at Interscope felt he was getting involved in too much controversy and that Suge, being the dominating figure that he was, would be able to make 2Pac listen to him.

Obviously, 2Pac became even crazier under Suge.

i'm undecided on whether it was a good choice. i think pac wanted to get paid and saw death row was the way. at the time death row were untouchable. pac was lyrically the best so why not get down with the biggest label? i love the death row pac stuff but in the end, being wiv tha row was probably the reason pac got killed
