radio quality? it sounds like it was recorded this way.
amaru/deathrow people werent sitting next to a radio recording shit.
this is the quality.
The song is worse quality than your average 2Pac track, what makes you think it was recorded that way?

if it was recorded from radio signal, they would know where it came from.
I dont think they recorded it themselves, they must have obtained the rip from a bootleg or something (like they did with They Don't Give A Fuck About Us).

i dont understand why they use a clean version on GH though.
Because it was clean on the radio rip they used.

Besides, even if they decided to release it clean for some odd reason, why would they have reverse edits instead of just removing the words? Same with Soon As I Get Home, the clean version is reversed, whereas the rest of the album's edited versions merely have the words removed. Besides not being able to remix it at all, Amaru has no reason to put a completely original track on an album full of remixes with modern artists.

I'm not sure, maybe it was QD3. But I am sure that the info has been known for awhile and people aren't just assuming the master is lost because Amaru didn't remix it.

if its true, then thats pretty sad actually... knowing many people have the proper tracks and dont understand what they are worth to us. i wonder if people will ever find them and release them. would love to hear they dont give a fuck about us in cdq.

kami - could you do me a favour and give me the unconditional love with the radio tag?

Greatest Hits album was put together by Death Row so that's why they left most of shit untouched and put Top Dogg on All About You instead of Snoopy

and why Amaru keeps remixing Pac shit? Cause that's where they get their money from, fool, Pac is their only income so of course they gotta fuck with his shit
you are so horribly wrong. in fact, greatest hits was a joint effort by amaru and death row and if you look in the booklet, every song title has a little symbol next to it. somewhere in the booklet it says what symbol represents what, but it basically tells you what songs amaru handled and what songs death row handled. that, oh, and the death row logo on the back..

Troublesome had some elements taken out when it was released, so yeah, they have the master.
not only that, but the mixdown is entirely different. in the og the guitar is placed almost all the way to the left in the stereo image while the piano is leaning slightly towards right. on the og mostly everything sounds to be centered except for an occasional riff, percussion and possibly the guitar. to me, it also sounds like they re-recorded the bassline for the released version. the levels are different too. so yeah.

on the radio tagged version he goes "watch mama open up her arms to hug me, and i ain't worried bout a damn thing, she still love me". on the released he goes "and i ain't worried bout a damn thang, but unconditional love".

they dont give a fuck about us and unconditional love are tracks i would pay good money for in cdq. awesome tracks.

i can't speak on any songs in particular, but it is widely known that a lot of masters disappeared from Can-Am Studios not long after Pac passed, which is where most of the early bootlegs came from, albeit in degraded quality. there are more than a few tracks that Amaru doesn't have the masters of.
