Why Does Eminem Get All The Blame?

I was just wondering why Eminem seems to get all the blame for a less than stellar performance on Loyal To The Game.

I mean, I see all these people talking about "Em should have done this", "Em should have done that", talking about how it was a disgrace to slow down or speed up Pac's vocals to match beats.

Me personally, I only think there's one beat overall that is horrible (Thug 4 Life). The rest of the beats aren't horrible, they're just not good. Or..well, I mean, they're OK is what I'm saying.

But, people keep putting the sole blame on Eminem when Afeni Shakur is the one that approves the final product. Also, don't forget EDI, Kastro and Noble have a lot of say into the final product too. I mean, I remember even reading an interview just after LTTG dropped where EDI straight out said that the three Outlawz and Afeni make the final say. Some people have used the petty excuse "Afeni is a 55 year old mother who is not in touch with the state of hip hop and therefore doesn't necessarily know what she's doing". However, EDI, Kastro and Noble ALL are up to date with the state of hip hop, and they should know better.

So...just like with Janet's titty slip at the Super Bowl, while Justin Timberlake was the one that tore of part of her clothing, he got no blame and it all landed on her.

Same thing goes with this. Sure, Eminem should get some of the blame, but not all of it. Since Afeni and the 3 Outlawz have the final say, I wish some people would start blasting them too.
you're sofa king stupid

how many times do we have to explain this shit to you?

saying eminem is a producer is like saying he's an actor. he's neither. he's a rapper who has explored other areas of his interests and varying degrees of talent. before labeling eminem a producer (who fits the same bill as other hip hop producers who only produce or started by producing), you have to ask yourself if eminem could have succeeded in the industry if he never had picked up a mic. i'd say no with confidence. shit, dizzy can produce better than him and he's working in a cave. by the same token, dr. dre isn't really much of a rapper. his thing is priduction, and just because he picks up the mic on occasion doesn't mean that he could ONLY rap and achieve the same level of success.

i can respect that marshall wanted to be a part of this project. fair enough. but when they cancelled the same tracks that he later produced just so it could be an eminem featuring 2pac album and that hurt the project in an incredible way. replacing tracks by kanye or others in favor of em's very sam-sounding stacatto production was a huge disservice. shit, i'll even let him slide with making pac shout him out because i have done that myself.

changing vocal tempo (buy sometimes as much as 10bpm) is the mark of an amateur. 2pac's albums (including his FIRST) have never resembled novice talent. therefore you turn to the producer of the weak tracks. marshall.

afeni and the outlawz are to blame here, because they have creative control. i think that the outlawz bowed down to eminem's recognition and fame, and thought that he could make this album successful on the merit of his name and therefore continue the 2pac vehicle for outlaw success. once again, had there been no pac, we'd have no outlawz. they would have never made it in the industry. on every album, on every damn one the outlawz make it a point to remind us that they worked with pac. pathetic. they are horrible artists on anything they have touches since 1997-8.

afeni is an aging woman who is not hip hop. i understand that her passion is the tasf. the problem is that she's being fed some very bad advice from those on whom she relies.

I like it when dante puts sum nice input into threads. He seen pac dancin wit dolls till he died(RIP). EMinem fucked tha album every1 knows it . I think even eminem bytch ass is ashamed of it. He did not promote it , he did not talk about it .... no video i mean shyt if u produce a whole album wouldnt u at leats promote it a lil??

Man fuck eminem 4 real his voice gets annoying and everythin he produced is mostly repetative on ever album he did.

I got a question for you:

Why are you always defending Eminem and talk about him like he's perfect ?

As Bank Robber has already said, for the most part, the beats were rushed and didn't fit Pac's style. It's obviously a bad sign when the bonus remixes outshine most of the other songs on the album.

i only read the first 2 pages and it was enough, jason its about time you hop of em's cock and realize he fucked up the album. because pac did the original in 3 days it gives Em the right to do it in 3 days? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME AHHAHAH are you putting em and pac on the same level ? please

With LTTG, eminem have shown that he has no talents of producing. His beats are too repetive and the song as a whole doesn't sound creative at all --> Songs like Don't u trust me reminds me too much of Stan and Sing for the moment and Ghetto gospel reminds me too much of Like toy soldiers and other beats.
The fact that he took off pac's & other OG verses, let pac say shit he never would and changed the speed vocals made the production of this album horrible.
So eminem is responsible cuz he was the executive producer, amaru are responsible for releasing this peace of shit

maybe some were for alive theories but atleast those were phrases and people can take them different ways but "BANKS" "FIFTY" "G UNIT" "TRICE" is just downright obvious bull. eminem gets the blame and i think afeni and the outlawz accepted it cuz if they didnt theyd have to pay eminem MORE to redo the beats...
Whether Em did it for free or not, this is Pac's legacy. Afeni gets cred as the executive producer, but if the Outlawz really also get a final say on each album, then they too are too blame because they understand hiphop music more than Afeni does - I know she means well in perserving the legacy and since thats Pac's mother, she deserves the money, so I won't even blame Afeni at all.

But the Outlawz knew some of the beats were downright terrible (EDI admitted this himself). Its like they totally disregarded it by letting such "bad" production happen bring a Pac project down. They should've put their foot down and had Em to re-do some of the beats; its obvious Em respects and loves Pac and Im sure Em would've understood the importance of Pac's legacy and made some changes. But the Outlawz didn't put speak up and Em's own work on the album sounded tight to his own ears. Yeah Em may have produced every song (not including the bonus tracks at the end), but the Outlawz should also be at fault for allowing an "atrocity." But that is only if they also get a final say on the albums though.
