Who agrees that Pac would've been better off not being drunk when in the studio?

well i have noticed a lot of screwups on Pac tracks, like saying wrong words and whatever, slurring his words and shit. But like Pac himself said "Niggas is drunk and high when they listenin to it" lol
YEa i was gonna say this...he says it during the freestyle on thug angel. He says shit people listen to my shit fd up so might as well record my music fd up.

The tracks Pac is drunk on many songs, but also not drunk on many songs. You can actually tell if you listen! His vocals are deeper toned when intoxicated, but are faster and high pitched when he is not that blasted. Example: Compare "AMbitionz As A Ridah" vocals with "Runnin on E", "Killuminati", and "All out".

I'm guessing that he was typically at least drunk (hence more amped up) when recording most songs, but less so when recording the radio versions of the same songs. Perhaps that is why he sounds a lot calmer in those versions (e.g., 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted, I Ain't Mad at Cha, etc.) when comparing words.

Drunk Pac is a lot more energetic though. Drunk anyone is. I remember when riding on our party bus to Spring Break in Mexico in 2004, somebody popped in the Better Dayz album, and I remember I was fucking wasted (taking several shots of vodka and several beer bongs before even crossing the Mexican border) and during "When We Ride on Our Enemies" I remember standing on one of the seats and yelling the part that goes, "Before I leave, make sure everybody heard/ Know I meant EVERY MOTHAFUCKIN' WORD/ WHEN WE RIDE ON OUR ENEMIES"... I just think alcohol in general gets you more charismatic. Not that I endorse such behavior :p

Runnin on E and All out sound songs made when drunk because they deeper with energy and all hyped up but he could've been sober with full of energy and hype and make songs as smiliar as when drunk.

When was Pac sober? lol
I think he would have made less mistakes if he wernt drunk / high but I dont think we would have neccessarily had better songs. He would have been better as an individual to be more sober more often.
Imagine Bob Marley's music if he hadnt smoked weed? Its hard to imagine.

...or Jenna Jameson's on-screen performances if she wasn't such a whore :horny:

It's just common knowledge that being under the influence (of either alcohol or some type of drug) WITHIN REASON intesifies you when it comes to doing things that your inhibitions may limit (with the exception of driving or operating heavy machinery). Your body makes that many more movements, your voice is that much louder and full of emotion, your words are that much more raw.

My question is how would he be better off not being drunk when recording songs? not that I agree/disagree but I want to know how so he would made better music.

At the end of the day it was his gifted talent. 5 minutes to write down a song, and another 5 to record it. No matter if he was fucked up or sober he was at the end of the day talented, deep, and authentic.

Of course the Hennessey let him let loose.

To answer your question:
* Less songs overall
* Less "street" songs
* Less fuck songs
* Less cussing
* Less intensity
* More focus
* More songs about family life and loved ones and things non-violent and non-sexual in nature
* More songs with non-rap artists

Pac's flow on Killuminati is sick!I do not agree with you.When he's drunk,his voice is heavier,louder and raw,I like it!Listen to "Let's Get In On" (Myke Tyson Version)!

its harder to understand his words on certain parts of Killuminati, 2nd verse anyways

not that its a bad song, i love it, but it woulda been better if his words were clearer

and is that necessarily better?

I think it would have been better in the sense that he would have been more clear and maybe made less mistakes on a track. Also he may have taken more time to perfect a track if it needed doing. It's really personal opinion as to whether those things are important or not.
