I see wideawake/Death row have just released a Kurupt cd as well. "Down and dirty" I think it's just "Against the grain" with 5 or 6 unreleased songs.

At the rate Dre is going producing his new LP, he may as well sue for royalties from his old material. Don't get me wrong, he is entitled to his royalties.

I thought part of the information the owner of Wide Awake gave in an interview was that, all artists would be paid their royalties. She added that the old ways of DR artists not getting paid were officially done. I'll have to read up more on this story. I'll also wait for the official statement that legal issues will affect the release of a DR 2pac LP. In the end, we all knew the news was too good to be true.

yeh thats pretty much the case, although the 5 or 6 "unreleased" songs leaked to the net a long time ago
Yep and not to mention the songs leaked in better quality than wat they released. WideAwake is doing real bad and im not surprised if Death Row goes up for sale again sometime in the near future. They were supposed to release a Pac album this year with all original songs but seeing as how sales for all their albums have been extremely low, then Lara Levi gets the boot from the company, and now with Dre suing them....i dont know if we are actually gonna get to hear that Pac album anytime soon.

As for an album from Amaru....it seems like they just flat out just gave up on releasing anything else. They started casting people for Live 2 Tell but now it seems like they have just given up on even filming the damn movie.

Johnny J's wife is frantically trying to get permission from Amaru to release their JJ/2pac album with unreleased JJ mixes of songs but seeing as how Amaru loves to block any good project it remains to be seen whether or not it gets the green light.

There will be 13 unreleased tracks in original form on the next 2Pac album. This came straight from Lara Lavi herself. No, my source isn't from an article on the internet. I asked her personally to confirm the 2Pac album release during an interview I conducted and she was kind enough to answer all of my questions.

The interview will be posted up on RapWeekly.com sometime this year. I also plan on posting up another 2Pac related interview exclusively for StreetHop.com that I did 1 or 2 years ago.

EDIT: In connection with DP's post, please keep in mind that the interview I conducted was during the second quarter of 2009.

That was Lara's original plan but now that she's gone who knows if the album will even be released this year. Especially with Dre suing them now.

By the way here's Johnny J's remix of Until The End of Time put out by one of JJ's former artists. It's "supposed" to be on the JJ/2pac album but like i said, you can only hope for the best when it comes to 2pac albums.
